You're kidding! I was hoping to be able to get one of the Chewbacca lanyards when we go to the last Star Wars Weekend! Darn! Those things are so cool, oh well. Thanks for the heads up though. At least I know not to go tearing the place apart trying to find one now

Thats it, thought they would at least have some left for the second weekend! guess I will need to get some tangaled pins to trade for those. lol

Wow! Glad I went the first Friday. Wish I had bought more to help people out. I had no idea it would be like that!

That's too bad they don't release a limited number of pins for sale each week to make sure they can sell something every weekend of the promotion. Knowing they are sold out might prevent people from going since there's nothing for them to buy. I don't know if this is a real solution or not but companies at San Diego Comic-Con have started to do this during the convention in order to assure each day they have items for people to buy in case they couldn't come to the begining of the con. One year, everyone sold out of their exclusives on the first two days and the convention was empty the last two days.

I agree! I wondered the same thing myself!

They used to release two different pins each weekend. I believe it was last year or the year before that they started releasing them all on opening day. Having done it both ways, I prefer it the way it is now. Now I only have to stand in line once for pins.

Yes they did do it limited each weekend for awhile a few years ago. Many complaints about having to come back each weekend and so on. I now go the first Friday of the first weekend each year.

I can totally understand not wanting to have to keep returning. Perhaps I'm just bitter because the bandolier I had been planning to get, and anxiously and impatiently waiting for, is selling for sky high prices on the bay, but it's a little discouraging to have been planning (paying)for a trip out there, from out of state, and for the special event merchandise to have been sold out for weeks already with no plans to restock. Ugh! Ok, rant over.
