Well, this is it gang - the big one!
I am in search of pin #90007 - Piece of Disney Movies: Tangled.
Specifically, I’m looking for a lantern scene where both Rapunzel and Flynn are in view staring at each other side-by-side.
If anyone is interested in where this pin is going, or just wants to hear what I hope is a sweet background story - read below:
Last December just before the holiday’s, my (now) fiancée and I took a trip down to Disney World.
We were lucky enough to book a Lake View room at Bay Lake Tower, and through her careful planning and research this Lake View room turned out to essentially be a Theme Park View because of its location and elevation in the resort. From the first step out of the elevator looking through a glass wall, to walking out on our private bedroom balcony, we were able to see the entirety of Magic Kingdom - it was absolutely breathtaking.
That night we explored Disney Springs, shopped, ate, and had an amazing time. Upon leaving, I made sure we arrived back at our room prior to fireworks over Magic Kingdom because I had an important question to ask her. I had been planning this a long time and was only waiting to make sure we had a view that’d let us see the Happily Ever After show from our room. Low and behold we made it back in time, I pulled up a few of our chairs on the balcony, tuned the room’s TV to the “fireworks” station, and turned the volume up enough to hear the music playing through the crack of our balcony door. We sat and watched the fireworks right over the tower as if we were in the park, but it was our own private display.
And now, to make this whole thing relevant, the Tangled lantern scene began. This is her favorite part of the show, and so - this is when I asked her to marry me. The whole one knee, ring in a box that I’d carried with me through the airport security, speech, all the nine yards. She was blown away, accepted, and nearly passed out (which I’d anticipated and made sure we were no longer right next to the balcony railing!)
SO, that is the significance behind this pin request. I myself collect and trade, but not enough to have anything of worth for a pin of this nature - so I’m looking to buy.
Her birthday is coming up, and so is the anniversary of our engagement. She loves pins, and I’m not sure she ever knew this one existed. I’m hoping someone here has one, and is willing to part with it. Please PM me if you do!
P.S. I know these do NOT come cheap, the story is just to show it’ll go to a great home - not to get me off the hook for less.
Thanks!
