Treasure Planet - Beginnings
I have finally collected all of the legitimate Treasure Planet pins.:eek2: :wat:
The reason I collect pins. The reason I am on this forum. The reason I felt so so connected with Disney in the first place. Treasure Planet. I have finally begun to organize my vision of how I want these beauties to be framed. This is a very very rough idea of what the end product is going to look like.
Do you have suggestions of what I can do or how I can make this better? Please comment here!! I am looking to bounce my ideas off of people who have framed collections before, and since these are my most prized pins, I want them to look phenomenal.
My idea is to frame them on top of the lithographs. From the pictures below I forgot to put the Tokyo Spinner pin in (its my favorite Treasure Planet pin and I have it displayed on my bookcase right now, but it will go on the Silver/Morph litho of course) and the DLRP B.E.N. (not in my apt but I have it too) and the box set of pins which I just haven't decided if I am going to pull the pins out to display them on here. I also included the bootleg pins I have on the lithos.
*Does someone have the bootleg JIM?! I will trade a real pin, and be forever grateful! Let me know!*
Anyway, onto the pictures...

I want to frame all 4 together like this (any suggestions for putting this together??!):
I also have the DA pins, I need to do something separate with these...
And these random buttons...
This all might take awhile to sort out...

Princess and the Frog shadowbox
So for those of you following me on my adventure, today the Universe was good to me and I was able to get 65% off shadowboxes at Michaels so I picked up a few. Then, I spent a few hours tonight doing this. I actually have all the PATF pins except the ones in my signature (you haven't seen them, have you? If you can help me I can guarantee you, you will never see a happier girl) but like Tangled, I have some not displayed here because I like to keep sets with sets (the princess shoes all together, designer princesses, princess crests... you get the idea. and eventually you will see my UK Princess frame of all the ones this year). A few pins are in transit (hence the space around the Faciliers). And I left the four 110th pins off because I don't think I can squeeze them on here... soon I will have to start PATF shadowbox #2! (btw, I know one is a fantasy pin
)
Princess and the Frog is one of my favorite MOVIES in general, only second to Treasure Planet for Disney movies for me. I love love love this film. I was reminded how much I love these characters when I was making this tonight. Any other PATF fans out there?

So despite being a member here for over a year I have never shared my collection, ever... mostly because of the state it has been in for all of that time. I am pretty good at collecting things and never doing anything with them. But, my goal is to have the bulk of my pins organized and displayed by the time of my family WDW vacation in May 2013.
I will update as things get rolling!
Here is what my pins looked like as I spread them out to organize earlier tonight:
Looking at this, those bags look small but you are looking at hundreds of pins... at least I was smart enough to have them all separated into bags by character/theme.
The entire Soda Fountain bag is filled with PODMs
Yep... and this isn't even all of it.
After organizing things a bit better, it looked something like this:
So the above picture is *almost* all of what I am going to have to get through.
I do have two small things organized now, so for the moment, here is my start:
TANGLED
*The UK gondola is with the other UK princesses where it will be displayed, Designer Rapunzel is with the other princesses where she will be displayed, Designer Gothel is with the other Villains where she will be displayed, PTD Pascal is on his way, I didn't open the two booster packs of pins so they are still sealed in plastic.
*I am planning on re-arranging some of these, and I want to do a glitter outline around the inside border where you can still see a tiiiiny bit of corkboard
BELOVED TALES
*I don't know if I will keep these here or shadowbox them
My plans include making custom displays for some of my more specialized collections, and getting a huge corkboard for the majority of my pins, stay tuned!
