***This is my first game, so good luck to you, but also good luck to me!

The Game

There will be 20 slots for 3 free prizes. Shipping is included. The top three spaces (1, 2, 3) in the randomizer results will choose from the three pin prizes. #1 will have first pick. #2 will have second pick. #3 will have third pick. Winners will need to send me their shipping address. This game is open to all DPF members (Yes, I'll ship internationally for free, but you may have a tariff on your end).

How to Play
In a single post, include the following:
  1. A photo of a pin from your collection that brings you joy.
  2. An explanation of why you chose that pin to share. I'm looking for a story that explains why it gives you joy. Insufficient responses ("I like it. It's pretty.") may be declined entry. I am including my explanations of how the three prize pins bring me joy below for examples.
  3. Your chosen number between 1 - 20.
What You Can Win (& Why I Chose Them)
Lot 1: PIN & POP ID 58272 - Sleeping Lady from Sweet Dreams Mystery Collection

I was buying pins randomly with no real intention of collecting until I bought my first Lady pin and remembered how much I loved her as a kid. I went home and rewatched the movie for the first time in ages, and my first and main collection was confirmed. I thought I would only collect Lady (not even Tramp & Co.). Then I had to have the Lady that was part of the Sweet Dreams collection, so I had to buy a few of those bags. Then I had to complete that set because they were all so cute (maybe I need to collect Figaro also?). This pin reminds me of the beginning of my collecting journey and how fun it is to complete a set or develop a themed collection.

Lot 2: PIN & POP ID 79826 - Yodelberg - Yodeling Mickey Only
This pin reminds me of the first time I saw that series of cartoons. I was hooked after a couple of minutes into the first one, which happened to be "Yodelberg." All of those cartoons are such a joy to watch. This pin brings back that feeling of discovering something delightful. I want more pins from those cartoons!

Lot 3: PIN & POP ID N/A - Merry Stitchmas - Snowman Stitch
The greatest joy of pinning for me thus far has not been in what I own, but in the interactions here on DPF. I have found the happiest place on the internet. This pin was just released, and I know there are a lot of Stitch fans here. I know this pin will bring someone joy. And that brings me joy.

Free games do not need a moderator to select a post for the randomizer. You may open the game when you are ready (master tip... to qualify for points in my game, a game must start and end in November... not quite November yet.) :)

Think your game looks great!

This one definitely brings me joy. I got it at one of the annual pin events. If I remember correctly, it was FairyTails. I had the VIP ticket so got to get in first and I got there extra early to be near the front of the line. They had a WDI/DSSH/International board for the VIPs that year and when the doors opened, everyone in front of me headed to that. Rather than sit on that line, I headed to the regular boards and was like the second person on line for one. And I saw this beauty. I grabbed it because it met my general event board rule - big (like 4-5 inches) and shiny - but also because I collect villains. I was extra happy when I turned it over and saw it was a PP. But even more so, I don't think they ever made/released it. I believe it was intended for the 2 pin Park Pack sets they had started at that time but after Sleeping Beauty and Lion King (I believe) they dropped those. So this may be the only one of this pin that exists. Or at least close to it.

I'll take lucky #7 please.

Oooh...tough to choose only 1!

This pin brings me joy because my son loves singing and knows all the Disney songs. It brings him great satisfaction to sing all the Disney songs and when I can't remember a lyric he smugly says "and you call yourself a Disney fan." lol To which I promptly remind him, "Remember who taught you, boy!"
So in high school he started watching musicals and I suggested we watch Singing in the Rain together...which he loved. When I knew this pin existed I knew I absolutely had to have it, because it combines Disney/Musicals and a memory with my son.

I'll choose #4 pls.

The tiny pin which brings me great joy is the TK Donald name tag! Back in the fall of 2022, I had posted a pic of Donald and Daisy with the lanyards they wore to attend a Disney Pin Collector’s Society (they were a big hit at the event), in which Donald had the Goofy name tag on his lanyard. I originally posted that Donald was having a hard time finding his own name as it already become elusive. Well lo and behold, I received a message from @raikipins that she had seen my post and she traded for the pin at a west coast event for Donald! Wow!

Daisy and Donald have lots of adventures and he proudly wears his pin on WDW trips. Last photo is from this fall where Donald is presenting Daisy with a replica of the Princess Diana ring.

Game spot #3 please. Thanks for hosting.

I agree it is so hard to choose just one pin! I am sharing the Pandora Shaman of Song because my mom and I each bought one to commemorate the day that we were able to use Fast Passes (those were so great!) to ride Flight of Passage 9 (yes, nine!) times in one day. It. Was. Awesome! It was also my first Passholder exclusive pin, because I became a WDW passholder for the first time on that trip! Good times.

I'll take spot #12.

I might need to find that pin. I love that movie. Made my kids watch it many times. Love Make em laugh.

This was the last pin I needed to be trader sam’s complete and I looked for it FOREVER! When I finally found it I was so excited that I took it out “on a date!” I have a photo of me sharing a milkshake with it somewhere! I’ll see if I can find it, but in the meantime I’m sharing the pin and pop photo since I am traveling but I am the one who added the photo to the site:)

Thank you for hosting this game, and good luck on your first one! :)

Here is my pin:

53448_big.jpg

This isn't my favorite pin, but it does bring me joy. (Well, the 20-ish ones that I own do, I guess!) I find it hilarious that there is a Disney pin that is literally just...sunglasses. And released from one of the exclusive, "fancy" sources of pins. If you didn't look at the back or know its origin you would have NO IDEA that it was in any way related to Disney, but here we are! And as far as I am aware, I am literally the only pin collector who actually wants these guys.

The real joy comes from those in the pin community who have embraced me having this collection as much as I have in having it. Multiple DPF'ers, and some non-DPF friends as well, have traded or zapped this to me (some multiple times!) for my collection, which has been an immense help to get me as far as I have!

ETA: I would like spot 19, please. :)

A pin that brings me joy. Like those above, I have many. But picking this one:
9131bfbc959ce95e728f208c8ec5e789.jpg

I remember when I identified this pin in the pin databases. Probably about 6-7 years ago. It seemed unlikely to ever gain it. But about 3-4 years ago I found it in a trade book at an event and I successfully traded for it. It was such an amazing feeling to gain this pin. An LE 50 pin from 14-15 years old. It still seems like such a needle in a haystack to have found it. Patiences pays off.

The pin is big and beautiful and the green background is shiny (I love shiny/glittery.)
Pin & Pop Pin ID: 55405
Picking spot 20.

LE 50?!?! What a find!

Would like a number on the game board?

From my favorite attraction and one of my favorite characters I collect. What I love about this Constance pin is that it’s actually a slider, and the slider actually moves her husbands’ heads out of frame, so that they’re decapitated, just like in the attic scene. I couldn’t believe Disney made a pin like this since it’s quite macabre, even for Haunted Mansion, and I had to have it. This is my favorite pin I own.
