I don't know if anyone is familiar with the work of Miss Mindy. She had made many custom Vinylmations and then later on statues and was a resident artist for Disney. There was a Designer Vinylmation Series with her artwork released in 2015. She will soon have her own line of Disney statues released, including her "shadow box gown" designs. The statues range from $99 to $29.











 
Nice stuff. Not sure about the pay now and get in August of 2017. Sounds like a funding deal. They don't even have them made yet but want to place the order with money that is on hold. The RTIC cooler was the same way. They had trouble getting all sold and keep changing the date they would be available. Kind of a little shady to me.

It's not a funding deal. That website they are listed on sells collectibles. They just offer the option to place the pre-order now if you like. Like many statues and collectibles, such as the Couture de Force or Grand Jester mini-busts, they announce many months before when the statues are scheduled to be released. Sometimes it sticks to the date, sometimes it is changed, but you are not Required to pre-order these for them to be made, you can just wait for the release.
 
I guess that's cool. Still a little unfair. My guess is if they all pre sell than nothing will be left on or after that date, right? It's cool to give a little preview, but 8 months seems a long time. I still would wonder when the true production date is for something being sold that far out. This is just my feeling and experience with other things.

Hey y'all. I just talked to these guys. Good news. You do not pay now. You just get on a list and give billing info. They will run your card when the product is in stock. The date they are giving is a guess of when the shipment will hit the states. The date is not a sure thing but it's cool to know they do not hold your money.

the only bad news is they do not know how many they will get. So if they all pre selling, there will be nothing for sell on the website later. They said they sometimes have extra and sometimes they are sold out in pre sells.

good luck my DPF family. Looks like they are are a good company from what I can tell in a quick chat.

Entertainment Earth doesn't charge for pre-orders until the item comes in stock.

Thank you. I had never done biz with them before. So did a little research and talked to a sells rep. They seem like they are cool. Still crazy the amount of stuff they sell with out know how much they will get or when they may get it. But other than that they seem ok.

I've never pre-ordered but I have ordered from them many times and they are great to deal with. When I bought my Jessica Rabbit Tonner doll they price matched it with another website (that was in 2010 so I don't know if they do that anymore). I guess these could potentially sell out. Disney Store 17" Dolls, LE Dolls, pins, definitely sell out but these types of statues never really seemed to before. This is something new so who knows. They don't say if they are Limited Editions. Good to know they do not charge until something is in stock.

The girl on the phone said she didn't know if it was open or limited edition. She just said that they sell them preorder and than if they sell more than they get, it will be first come first served. No pins will be sold after release date if they do not get enough. She also said if they do have any extra after the 6-7month presell , they will go online at that time. They don't seem to know much other that they will get it at some point and want to sell as much as they can, even if they don't know how many to sell.
