This sucks...another scrapper pin from Ebay!
I got a scrapper on eBay, and I requested my money back, and she wanted me to ship the scrapper back to her. I declined. the description was a lie, so why should I be out the money for shipping? I will just leave negative feedback.
One of the last scrappers I got from ebay, I reported to ebay and they made me pay to ship it back to the seller in order for me to get my refund. So I paid to ship it back and the seller refused to accept the package and returned it to me! Ebay (and PayPal) then argued since I hadn't returned the package, they wouldn't refund me. So I had to deal with my credit card company to get a credit for my purchase (which I shouldn't have had to do with all of ebay's "buyer protection" policies). But I was still out that extra shipping money and ebay never did anything to help me or ban the seller who I reported as selling fake pins and left a negative feedback for.File with PayPal and get your money back! 2 scrappers? I would guess they know they are selling scrappers! I would also leave feedback letting people know the person is selling scrappers. You should not have to pay shipping when someone sends you a scrapper!
Did you try escalating it to Ebay's Resolution Center?
That actually happened to my mom as well. She sold a pin that she purchased directly from the Disney Soda Fountain. Some of the newer DSF pins have a slight border on the back of pin where the ice creams don't go all the way to the edge. She told the buyer the pin was genuine, but he/she was too leary and wanted to return the pin anyways.Just remember that just because you think a pin is a scrapper doesn't mean it is one. I was accused of selling a scrapper but the pin was directly purchased by me from Disney Auctions. It was a legit pin. But the person swore it was fake even though I knew otherwise so I just had them send it back and I refunded their money. Then I blocked them from bidding on any more of my auctions ever. So be very careful about being overly paranoid. That pin you think is fake may in fact be the real thing.

I don't trust ebay or PayPal to help at all now.

They left me completely in limbo - forced me to pay for return shipping, then when seller marked package "return to sender" and wouldn't accept it back, ebay/PayPal refused to consider the item returned and wouldn't refund me! That's why now I don't trust ebay/PayPal at all. I spent hours on the phone with them and they were impossible to deal with. I even sent them photos of real vs. fake and why the colors were all wrong on the pin - they didn't care and did nothing to the seller. Don't trust that ebay will protect you because they won't.Oh wow. Ive never heard of them not standing behind protecting the buyer.
Even today it's tough when sellers just use the pics from PinPics instead of actual photos. Do you take a risk? Or ask for more close-up photos? I find most sellers are okay with posting more photos, but I've been ignored quite a few times too.
