Hi everyone,

I'm debating on whether I should preorder the Aurora doll from the US, but I've never used a shipping forward service before.
I had a look around and I'm really not sure which service is good and how much money I should expect to pay for their service, customs and shipping from them to me?
I feel overwhelmed when googling and all those different services pop up!
Can anyone share their experiences?
TIA :)

Why are you using a shipping service? Disney store US ships directly to a big amount of European countries (incl. Germany).

I heard that they charge very high shipping charges? :( I don't know if that's true but the other thread about shipping to the UK says it'd be about 76 US$ for the LE doll.

I see. Yes, their shipping isn't cheap. Think I paid 75 USD for the set of March Anna and Elsa to Japan, but for me that was still cheaper than the Danish disney store where the set would cost me more than 300 USD. Unfortunately I don't have experience with shipping service to Europe, since we use a Japanese company to send us stuff from the US to Japan.

I don't have experience with a shipping service but I'd just like to say that I've heard custom fees in Germany aren't a laugh. And most likely you'll be able to order the doll on the German store which shouldn't be too difficult because that store doesn't get as much traffic as the UK store (because UK ships to Europe, Germany just ships to Germany).

I'm thinking about trying to pre order from the US as well just incase I miss her in October. What would I expect to pay in pounds? And do they take the money straight away or when it ships?

Even though Germany only ships to Germany, the whole of Europe still shares the same stock - also think that the German store was one of those who crashed back in march with Anna and Elsa together with the UK store and French store.

They put a short hold on your credit card for the amount you have purchased for, but they won't take any money before they ship. Didn't think I have had any experience with an online ship which took money straight away, if they sudden run out of stock, it makes a lot of things more complicated.
You should expect to pay 119 USD + tax + around 75 USD in shipping (you can convert that into pounds) Aaaaand custom charges. Japanese custom charges were not bad, around 30 USD when I bought Anna and Elsa, but we all know the awful charges the EU can put in you.

Thanks for the reply only just seen your reply. How much tax do they put on the item?

In my experience, if you ship it directly from the US Disney store, they do not charge taxes for international customers. I've had some items shipped to an address in the States and some straight to my place in Canada and when I had it sent to the US, I was charged the taxes for that State, but when sent to Canada, I only got the shipping charged.

Thanks:) I mean if she's super easy to get in October I will be abit annoyed having paid all these customs and charges but I really don't want to risk it with the Uk site after March.

I wouldn't trust the UK site after that major screw up back in March … it still baffles me that they seemed so unprepared for the huge amount of traffic - what did they expect? The Frozen hype was at its' biggest, only 500 dolls and most of Europe ordering from the UK page.

I defiantly don't trust the UK site that's why I'm going to try and order Aurora at 8am from the US site:) Hopefully will be able to get Maleficent from the Uk site but surely she's going to be more popular as well as a lower edition size:(
Sometimes I wonder what Disney is thinking after all the complaints in March you would have thought they would listen.
