Regarding the spork thing, maybe the theme is that fun "toys" don't always have to be bought from the store but can be made yourself. I think that would be a cool concept, but really confusing how Disney would end up marketing that if the spork turned out to be a main character!
Edit: I just read up on it some more and I'm actually pretty close, lol.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this!
I love Toy Story so much, I hope they've got it right.. Toy Story and Aladdin in one year! <3
Original plot outlines had this as a "prequel" focusing on Woody and Bo Peep's romance but that seems to have changed. Latest IMDB plot outline says “Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Along the way, Woody is reunited with an unexpected old friend.”
All I have heard (no spoilers) is BRING TISSUES because this is going to be worse (in terms of a cry factor) than TS3.
Yay! More Bonnie!
LOL at the spork!
Another trailer - with Key and Peele!
Am I the only one who's just not terribly excited about another Toy Story? I love the first one and am even happy to watch the second one. I can't watch the third one, because it makes me want to cry and cuddle my old toys lol. I'm just worried they are going to keep pushing the franchise, and eventually get to one that I can't stand. The idea makes me sad.
Lol I never liked the TS movies, Sid's toys always creep me out. That said they are good movies, and I don't really think they can extend the life of an animated film series the way they can Marvel or Star Wars..

Yeah I thought the 3rd one was a great "end" and they have kept the story going with the shorts, which has been fun! I don't know that I needed another full length movie. But we shall see!
Enjoyed the second one, hated the 3rd, and refuse to watch this one. the third made no sense, Woody was always handed down generation to generation father to son, and should have been kept and passed along with the others to Andy's son or if need be "daughter". felt like such a slap in the face the way they did 3, so forced and so cringe worthy. Just really not liking the way things are going with sequel happy disney these days, want to see some new original family movies.
I’m cautious about a lot of movies these days but the latest trailer for toy story 4 has made me cautiously optimistic... but still cautious. I’ve always had a special place for woody buzz and the gang, so I’m hoping this next bit can be a nice addition to the toy saga and not end in near flames ... that was rough
Is that mentioned somewhere? I always assumed Andy's mom got Woody for Andy at some point of his cowboy phase.
I thought the third movie wrapped things up wonderfully so I was suspicious when I heard they were coming out with another one. But the latest trailer has me cautiously optimistic, as well. I am happy for more Bonnie and Trixie.
Just as long as the finger snap (by Thanos) does not remove half the toys too...
Yes, it was. I believe it was mentioned for sure in the garage sale section of TS2, but it may have come up elsewhere as well. Andy's mom mentioned it.
Sorry if my last post sounded snarky, we just really really felt swindled with the TS3, as we really enjoyed 2 and thought that story would be continued on differently than what they did, if not simply ending there.
Optimistic about it, but not sure I like the spork.
