Booked reservations back in early February to make sure I have accommodations. You are allowed to book
499 days in advance for the resort of your choice. That being said, I'm looking forward to the new 50th WDW pins. Anything WDW is my priority throughout the next upcoming months. The excitement is killing me . . . as I prepare for this wonderful event! WDW added 9 new rides and possibly, more to come by Summer of 2021.
I can taste those Mickey ear treats already!

Star Wars fan here. I gotta experience the latest Star Wars thrill rides!
I truly feel bad for all those families whom had to cancel their plans this
Spring. But I do expect WDW to be quite crowded next year. I'm not fazed one
bit. Crowds can hve a positive side. You rarely meet the same people twice.
But I'll surely be trading pins upon my arrival. Of course, I'm hoping for exclusive
"50 Anniversary Pins". I have some from the 25th Anniversary.:)

Great idea! I'll have to dig up my buried "treasures" and pick out my favorites.
I've learned decades ago that 'busy fingers' were walking off with some of my
collectibles. Had to keep them in a safe place.

Yippee! I am also looking forward to going to the parks for the 50th anniversary! It is going to be a very exciting time and I am curious what anniversary events they will be hosting.

Interestingly, my anniversary pins are also from the 25th. Although, technically, I think these were my wife’s and they snuck their way into my bag.

I can’t wait! I had to postpone my Disney Bahamas cruise to July 2021 so hopefully there will be some pre-anniversary celebrations.

    Wow!
I'm simply getting goose bumps just thinking about WDW 2021!!!!
I was recently going through some pins and there it was . . . "Epcot 25".
That being said, I know there are other pins in my possession from the
other parks as well. I'll be doing some more digging.
Is it just me or do I have a strange feeling that Disney property is going
to extend their stay home policy for a couple of months. Gee, I hope not.
    Well, back to digging!

Are there any Disney 23 Club members?
I'm expecting them to make some kind announcements in months
to come sometime before 2021 about the 50th Anniversary.

I'm a D23 member. Things have been pretty quiet due to Covid! No announcements yet.

My goal is to go on actual anniversary day(Oct 1st); if not I can settle for a quiet family trip during the off season...

I've always wanted to go to WDW around Halloween during an anniversary!!!! But since I'm an
    afterschool specialist, that's out of the question. June is my preferred month; the crowds are crazy;
and the atmosphere is electric! It definitely recharges my battery.
I have a change jar that I start each and every time I return home from a Disney property
and fill it up until my next adventure. I try to go every four years. Been going since 1978 to
WDW; Disneyland Tokyo once; and Disneyland Anaheim twice.
My prized WDW pins are from the Avatar experience.

My family was accidentally at Magic Kingdom on the day of for the 45th. We knew the year was the 45th Anniversary year and we had a Disney World trip at the end of September we were excited about just for that. We were flying home on 1 October, but still had passes for that day and late flights home. We planned to go to Magic and do some last minute souvenir shopping before catching buses back to our hotel for the bus to the airport.

When we got to the park, the crowd was easily 5 times bigger than it had been every other day of our trip and we were so very confused! We had to ask other people what was going on as the crowd pushed us in the gates and towards the cast members handing out free commemorative maps and buttons. One of the best accidents ever.

I’ve got T-shirts someplace still, too.

OMGosh!!!! That is the ultimate Disney prize. That is wonderful beyond words. I love it!
The only time I've ever come close to your experience was in 2006, I think. The Olympics was
the hot topic of the day. My kids and I were in Frontier Land at WDW and walked into one of
the stores. The store manager was just putting out Disney Olympic medals with red, white and blue ribbon.
I asked him for the price and he wasn't sure. They were that new. Once he received confirmation, I
bought five! Both of my kids wore them proudly and every 30 feet we were asked where did we
purchased them. I pointed to the store and guest made a dash rush to buy the medals. Of course, they
were gone in seconds! My treasure is secured in a lock box . . .

Wow! The Olympic pins sound amazing! What a lucky coincidence!

Over the years, WDW will have exclusive pins for one specific park. One of many
ways in finding out if they're available is simply asking Disney staff. But they are "limited".
But days or sometimes, hours later . . . a new batch magically reappears! I love that place!
