Wrist Band Distributions for Piece of Disney History Pins: LM and IJA

Hello all.

I just finished reviewing the upcoming pins to be released at DLR.

As I was scrolling through, I came to the Indiana Jones Adventure POH pin, due to be released on 3/7; the information say's that there will be a Wrist Band Distribution for this pin.

However, this The Little Mermaid POH pin, that is due to be released this Thursday, has NO SUCH W/B distribution listed.

Does ANYONE, again ANYONE know if the LMPOH will have a w/b distribution.

I know that the Indian Jones Adventure is popular, however, I would have thought the LM would be more popular?!

That's a good question...

They didn't announce a wristband distribution for the Pirates of the Caribbean POH back in January, but apparently they still distributed wristbands. So my guess is yes, they will distribute wristbands on Thursday, but I doubt that they will even sell out that fast.

It's stated on the What's HapPINing blog that the POH LM is in fact a wristband event.

We are pleased to share with you the February limited edition pin from the A Piece of DisneylandÂ® Resort History series. This pin of the month series features a piece of DisneylandÂ® Resort history. The limited edition February pin contains a piece of Ariel's wedding dress used in the wedding scene of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure. This Disney California Adventureâ„¢ Park Attraction transports Guests through scenes of the animated film, The Little Mermaid.

DLR Wristband Guidelines:
Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers the opportunity to purchase the Piece of Disney Movie History limited edition pin. Wristbands for pins will be distributed behind Rainforest CafeÂ® / in front of ESPN ZoneÂ® beginning at 7am, while supplies last. At 8am wristband distribution will move to Disney Pin Traders, while supplies last. We kindly ask that Guests do not queue up behind Rainforest CafeÂ® until 6am. Limit One Wristband per Guest.
In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. At time of wristband distribution, we ask that you please select a location to purchase the pin: Little Green Men Store Command, Julius Katz & Sons or Disney's Pin Traders. Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise locations until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Pin limits will apply. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice.

Also the Pirates POH in January was a wristband event but apparently only a handful of people showed up for that one.

Wasn't that a combination of both the Donald AP ticket, the January 2013 easel poster, and the Pirates POH all on one day?

And it used to say that on the Upcoming release page as well, but it has been removed from there. So maybe they've come to the conclusion that wristbands are not required for this release?
