Lion King Box Pin Set..... Fake or Real??????????? HELP!!!!

I bought this Lion King Box Set off of you know where. I was wondering if someone could help me confirming the authenticity. ,y concerns are: the coloring or shade of color of each pin, rafiki only seems not to be full of paint like the others, and the box seems a little shabby looking. If any of you have this set and can compare them to yours, I would greatly appreciate it

They're real, it's just an extremly old set. I have one and extra pieces too, they're all like this...and I think they're quite nice

Also the boxes weren't made to last really...which is VERY unfortunate.

Awesome romancing!!! I really appreciate. I really loved them but in comparison to the pins I buy now, they just didn't seem to be the same. You know? They do have the different metal backing also. Plus, it was still sealed in plastic. Brand new. I read on pinpics that they were released in the nineties. I couldn't believe that someone kept it sealed that long. But thanks for your input. It really eases my mind. I trust your opinion.

Yeah I think your Rafiki may just be missing a bit of the gloss coat that's all! I especially love the Nala in the set and loooove how much detail is on Simba! (I have have extras of these two pins...that's how much I love them!!)

It would help to see the backs, but based on what I'm seeing of the fronts in the pictures, nothing leaps out at me as a major concern. I'd agree that they appear to be quite real

They are definitely real; and just shy of 20 years old. The box set was sold in the Disney Store when the movie was in theaters. It retailed for $19.95 if I remember correctly. See [Pinpics]5838[/pinpics].

Well, I got very lucky. I was the winning bid on an auction. I paid around 35.00 including shipping. I know there is one listed right now on the bay for 79.00. I think. Not sure what the going price is for this set. I'm just glad I didn't have to pay too much. Thanks a lot for your interest.
