ZAPPED! This zap was a religious experience...
This appreciation post is long overdue! However, I'm currently a) sick, and b) just wrapped up jury duty, which is a super fun combo, so hopefully I can get a late pass. I currently have a whole list of zaps in the works and went to my mailbox expecting to find a thingamabob intended for someone else - instead, I found an unexpected LBE apparently meant for *me.* Huh??
I immediately recognized the name on the return address: Tessa, aka @timeerkat. Oh no she di'int...
Ok first of all, I'm seriously jelly. What an amazing experience!! Secondly, it's not enough that Ashley sent me Anastasia zaps from her trip to NYC/Broadway, *now* I'm getting zapped by way of Paris and the actual NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL?!? I can't tell you guys how touched I am that you're going on these super fun trips and somehow you inexplicably think of ME during your souvenir shopping. And the gifts are always so personal and special and perfectly tailored to me! I have no idea how I earned such unbelievably thoughtful and generous friends, but honestly, I feel so honored. <3
So the first thing I saw after the note was the chocolate. Ok, can we please address how freaking sweet and adorable it is that she spotted this Notre Dame chocolate in her box of candy and set it aside for me?? I mean, it's such a seemingly small gesture but seriously makes me feel all warm and fuzzy nonetheless. :')
Oh, and just for future reference, there is pretty much *no* candy/dessert/sugary snack of any kind that I will not devour. I don't have a sweet tooth, I have sweet teeth. (For now at least, until they inevitably fall out when I'm 30.) So I was pretty conflicted over whether to actually eat the candy or save it forever until it eventually melts into a bizarre shape, because literally every zap/gift I receive from anyone on here is automatically super sentimental and I refuse to part with any of it. BUT then my mom suggested that I just carefully slide the wrapper off, save THAT part, and eat the chocolate. Sooo I might go with that, idk, still deciding.
(Spoiler alert: I ate it.)
Then I got to the gift bag containing the main event. Before I even opened it, I noticed the Notre Dame sticker seal, which I carefully cut out to save. Because yes, I am just *that* nerdy, and as I mentioned before, a complete gift hoarder.
THEN, SUDDENLY...
WHAAAAAAT?????? Ok, so I immediately began to gleefully snap pics, and it wasn't until I moved it that I actually NOTICED THE BACK, which is somehow even prettier omg.
And yes, it TOTALLY has #EsmeraldaVibes!!!!
I'm definitely going to hang this baby up alongside my actual Esmeralda pendant replica (because OF COURSE I own one, who do you think you're dealing with?!) as part of my whole Es display area next to her pin board. But my mom also had the awesome idea to use it as an ornament for my Disney-themed Christmas tree this year! I actually do think now that it's intended to be a Christmas ornament in the first place...? But whatever, it's still first and foremost an Esmeralda collectible to me. Sorry, Santa/baby Jesus.

Tessa truly is the real-life Leslie Knope... I mean, right?? Like, remember the episode where Ann and Ben just flat-out give up because they know they'll never top Leslie's gift-giving abilities? Yeah, Tessa is just THAT thoughtful and sweet and Knopish. I'm personally more of an April (a weird, creepy loner with poor social skills), but that doesn't mean I'm not 100% on board for being Pawnee Goddesses together and chillin' at Galentine's Day brunch. <3
So you best get ready for me to return fire. And I promise I'll resist sending a box of trash. It'll just *seem* like trash compared to your gift.
***I also received a second AMAZING zap from another DPF M.V.P., but it's 1 am and I'm starting to crash, so unfortunately I'll have to write that appreciation post tomorrow! In the meantime, I'll let you wand-er who it was from... let's just say he's a real wiz at zaps... BUT THAT'S ALL THE HINTS YOU'RE GETTING. xD
