Hello everyone so once COVID hit I pretty much stopped getting on the forums, fb groups, etc because I didn't want to tempt myself to spend extra money at the time.

So now that I'm back I've found the "hidden mickeys" changed to "hidden disney pins". From what I can tell it looks like the same process for the most part. EXCEPT the super completer? Is that something you can ONLY purchase not trade for? (If so touche to disney for finding a way to get more money from me LOL)

I saw a picture of one on a card and it said Limited Edition, anyone know the edition size? My favorite part about going to the parks is hunting down the hidden mickey sets while I'm there. Even if its not something I actually collect I love to complete the sets! I'll be super bummed if I get out there only to find out the Super completer isn't attainable.

Yeah, I couldn't find it here at WDW. I am visiting my Dad and we looked at all the parks and Disney Springs. I ended up buying the 2 we need off of Ebay. For the price, I wondered if it meant they already ended up at the Outlets, even though I saw something that it only came out in February.

For a long time completers were available GWP or PWP style (you spend $30 you get a free/$1/$2/$3) pin. But those seemed to be available for longer than what this one did.

FYI, they also changed the name to incorporate Marvel pins. I think there is some contract language that prevent them from using Mickey in association. That's why Marvel pins also don't have Mickey rubber backs.

Okay that helps! I don't mind the name change just trying to make sure I understand the process. Not a huge fan of the super completer being something you have to purchase but also something that likely isn't attainable in the parks. I feel ya I'm the same way going and buying second hand from someone later if I don't complete the set but I think part of the fun for me is trying to complete the set while I'm on my trip.

The super completer says "limited edition" on the card but the pin itself says limited release. It was released a while ago and has since sold out. The card can be opened on it revealing places for all of the mask pins from both DLR and WDW.

Okay thanks, that's good to know. I'm not going until Feb 2022 so the pins will obviously be different by then. Maybe I'll get lucky and happen to be there when the super completer is available.

Hopefully they will be! We still have the 2020 pins that didn't get released until the parks reopened (WDW in July 2020; DLR in May 2021)....I wonder if there were plans for 2021 Hidden Disney pins that will now be 2022 ones...

That's very possible. I only found 2021 series 1 when I did a quick search. I know when we went in the past (we frequently go in Jan/Feb timeframe usually the last series from the year before is whats in the parks.

I was told by the owner of a gift shop here in Orlando they were going to be changing the names to "hidden Disney". (That was just before covid.) She had a source inside Disney that told her about the name change and how both coasts are getting similar pins (Marvel, Droids). I thought she meant they would be releasing the same pins on both coasts like one set was in each of the past few years. They're hard to find now. It seams Magic Kingdom never gets 2021 pins (that I have seen), but have gotten them at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. I'm hoping once Disney lets the Cast Members start trading again they will be easier to find.

On a side note, the store I mentioned went under because of covid. Shame, nice ladies that owned the shop, great source for hard to find pins.

Yes the new pouches are labeled Hidden Disney. Current pouches Series 1: Carneval Masks, Star Wars: Droids, Marvel: Icons, Pixar: A Bug's Life, Castle Fill, and Lion King
