New Mid-Life Crisis Hobby

Good morning everyone!

Pins and memorabilia were never really my thing until this past year where I got hit hard with the boot of nostalgia. I found that instead of some racy sports car, boat, or plastic surgery my mid-life crisis was that of my youth and the memories of the Disney Afternoon. My wife had obtained some pins through our cruises and Christmas gifts, so I started looking for some that interested me and found Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Talespin, Gummi Bears, and Darkwing Duck pins I saw online...I am now hooked on collecting!

Since we live so far from any Disney property, we've relegated to online sources for our pins until our next Disney Cruise where we can trade and purchase in person. I am always on the lookout for more Disney Afternoon and Scrooge McDuck pins!

So glad I found this community, it's helped quite a bit in my research and starting my collection.

Such a great collection! Looks like you are caught up on a lot of the new Ducktales pins! Congrats on completing the puzzle set! I love the Scrooge cruise pin! I have it on my ISO list but haven’t seen many people trading it.

Thank you, the puzzle set is what I actually found online first and kicked off my new obsession. I think my first couple blind boxes a friend sent me had the chaser pins and got hooked!

Still a long way to go, and a kids college fund worth to spend on pins , but it's been fun seeing everything out there.

I'll keep a lookout for the Aquaduck pin on our next cruise, but I believe we are trying the Wish instead of Fantasy so we'll see if they have the Scrooge one.
