QUESTION Pin pics?

PinPics HAS reworked a lot a titles of existing pins to add more words for searching and to make the format more consistent. I've found that checking the "include in description" box helpful for finding older pins that have been reworked. ALSO the description catagories are VERY helpful in narrowing down your search. You can't expect searching to be as fast and easy as it "used to be" with the database DOUBLE what it used to be.

PinPics is, indeed, a massive database with about 150,000 active pin listings. And it's run by a team of volunteer editors who spend most of their days working on trying to get the listings updated and more searchable. Not to mention always adding new pins! If you ever want to ask questions live, there's a regular ZOOM meeting on Thursday Nights, and there are always people there willing to help search for pins, etc.

Those pins were sold in TOHO Cinemas in Japan back in 2012 (S.H.I.E.L.D symbol) and 2013 (Stark Industries). Somehow, I never got around to adding them to Pin & Pop, but that's now been rectified thanks to this post: S.H.I.E.L.D. logo and Stark Industries.

that stinks. we all know how much time and love goes into these collections and having to face parting with them is hard. But at least its on your terms and you know they'll be going to good homes that will also cherish them. My grandfathers beloved coin collection got split up after he passed and I know my cousins just tossed them in the garage somewhere and forgot about them. It's a little depressing. But t least you get to control the process and part as slowly or quickly with your collection as you like. or stop entirely if your circumstances change and you end up being able to keep them!
