Question about buying pins for other people?

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind, I work an early morning freight job before coming to the office as it is a great workout, extra cash which funds not only the hobby but our next trip to Disney, and since Betsy gets up at that time too, we both leave for work at the same time. For the first 2 hours, I listen to my Fantasmic MP3s and just have time to think and sort out my day, so these are ramblings from this morning's thoughts
Now that I have quantified the ramblings of someone at 4 AM, here comes the thoughts and is not directed towards anyone or anything, just thoughts:
Being in Maryland, I do not have access to many of the current release pins from DL/WDW/DLRP, etc; and due to my ex-wife, I do not have access to E-Bay, so thankfully due to the folks here at DPF, and a couple of relationships I formed via PinPics, I have people who are willing to pick up pins for me on release days, etc. Lately, I have been going after high demand pins, like the recent DSF Ticket Stub series with Rapunzel, and of course the POMH series. Now the person who got me the DSF Ticket Stubs asked for some extra for their time and trouble which I completely understand, as they were in line for hours before hand at DSF, etc and you pay a little extra for the POMHs for their time and trouble of going to the parks, going through the pins, possible pick of scenes available, etc. That is nothing new and I do not mind, as they are doing me a service by getting them for me in the first place. Last year, I "sponsored" someone for the Sci-Fi event, where I got to do a RSP form, and in turn, they got the paid entry in the event.
I was thinking about this this morning, as I am going to WDW in November and was planning to do things like the MVMCP, etc and was wondering about offering to pick up pins for people here. This will be my first trip to a Disney park as an active member of a pin board. Originally, I was thinking of doing it as a favor, but I realize that this is my vacation and my time, and in the case of the MVMCP, the costs of the party, etc; and it got me wondering:

- Is there a guideline or etiquette about asking for a little extra, not asking, etc?
- What is or is not appropriate?
- When you get pins from someone who asks for a little extra, do you take that into account as to the pin's value when it comes time to trade?
