Trying to Chat, but "Missing Plug-In" on a Mac ...

Now I've got this problem and unable to chat. *sigh*

Hurry up and fix the problem so I can get back into chat ... .
 
Nope, still can't access chat with Firefox. I'm still missing the plug-in, even with the Firefox browser. :(

Any other ideas?

TL;DR version: Java is unstable and potentially not secure for some browsers including Safari and Firefox, Chrome doesn't seem to have an issue. Allegedly, Oracle is working on a fix. Allegedly.


So if you're on a Mac, here's (potentially) your culprit.

You need to get Java 7 Update 13, go to your Java CP update tab.
I reopened the (Safari) browser, still said no. I had to restart my computer and messed about a bit but it's working now!
Give me a shout if it doesn't work for you :)
