I find I really don't like pins with actual pictures on them. Like the Oz or Frankenweenie sets.

Pin 92217: DSF - Nightmare Before Christmas Book - Sally

How about you guys?

I don't like the picture pins much either. I also am not fond of the direction hidden mickey's have taken. Smaller and less detailed each year. In fact, I didn't bother completing last year's set. I'm done with them unless something changes.

There's very few hidden mickey pins that I actually like, and most I'm not even going to try and get because of scappers. I'm not a massive fan of the vinyl pins, or vinyls in general [minus the BATB set that's coming out this summer, and a few others]

I'm not fond of photo pins, but I ended up having some in my collection anyways. For some reason, Disneyland Paris is keen on making photo-type pins for their anniversaries. The 15th and the 20th are both like that.

Oddly enough, I don't care for danglers or hinged pins either. I've actually passed on wanting a few pins because they have dangly bits hanging down. They just seem especially tacky to me.

I agree with everyone about Vinylmation, pins and the real deal. Pins are bad enough as pointless tchotchkes, but Vinylmation is even worse. That said, the park all-stars set isn't too bad because at least they are just chunky action figures that are actually in the shape of what they're supposed to represent. In a couple years these ugly little Mickey dolls will all end up in the same landfill as Pogs and Beanie Babies.

I like all pin styles, but HATE FREE-D! Most of the time it falls out!! Pls Disney, get rid of the "rubber / plastic" Free D! Also, at the Dateline Disneyland event honoring DL's origin, a lot of the feature pins had PLASTIC add ons- I didn't buy ANY of those for trade, & just a few for my collection.

Dangle pins, BUBBLE pins, Picture on pin, Rubber crap on pins. The picture on pin and the rubber crap just show there is a current lack of artistic creativity going on. not to mention the constant use of the same artwork on a pin. (101 Dalmations windows to the magic same as Walt's Classic Collection Series)

I'm not a huge fan of dangle pins. There are very few I want in my collection. The only pins with dates on them I like are for anniversaries, holidays, or special events. I'm not a huge fan of most of the pins made in the 90s either. Some of the original Little Mermaid pins, for example, I think are ugly as sin. I'm also not a fan of pins were the characters faces look nothing like their faces in the movie... The recent Rapunzel carousal pin is a good example.

pins with words and dates! The only words I like are the name of the movie or character and maybe the movie release date.

Most pins with dates, unless the date means something or I was there for it . . . I've had to pass on numerous pins that I liked, just because of the year being on them. . .

I don't like Villains. I don't like NBC or Haunted Mansion pins. Didn't care for the movies.
I also do't prefer pins with Free-D elements or picture-on-pins. I asked DSF why they were doing the pictures, Teresa said it was "offset." I wasn't sure if that is a pin manufacturing term or if she meant she's offsetting cost of designing it with graphic design? Either way, not a fan.
I don't like cross-eyed pins or no pupils at all.
I don't like crazy popular pins that are stupid low LE. Every Rapunzel/Tangled pin from this day forth should be minimum LE1000. Every Up pin too. Regardless of who's selling it.
I don't like DA LE100's. I boycott them eventhough there are Tink's on my wants list. I don't love them enough to trade as highly as the people want.

I dislike pins that have any writing/numbers (exception PoDMs).
I dislike pins that have movement, dangles or open up (I recently got rid of DSF Wall-E pins for that reason).
I dislike pins that are too small (hidden Mickeys, a lot of OEs, etc).
I dislike pins that are too big (super jumbos, heavy).
