Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
Do you mean only JCP will have the animator type toddler dolls in the US? The JCP box just says toddler.
I know the toddlers are available at DS in Europe-do they say animator's on the box?

someone in another thread said that their store just got the Frozen animator dolls... I think it was in GA or FL, but I forget exactly where.

39.95?? For real?? I mean she's pretty and I'm in the Elsa camp but I don't think I'd pay that much for her. I'd rather wait for her LE.

And it's nice to hear a more "official" version of Let It Go.... but part of me feels like Idina's (powerful/beautiful) voice might be a little strong for the character (or at least for this doll)? As in... people were saying all they hear is Idina (and not "Elsa"). I'll just have to wait till I see the movie.

I felt the same way She's very pretty and I thought the glowing effect was cool but felt it was pretty pricy and the voice is very strong. I'll save my money for the LE set. If all else fails, I can always buy her at a later time. Also wish that the $8 figure set sale DS is having would've included Frozen :(

Oh dear... that singing Elsa doll is BEAUTIFUL, but I'm definitely not a fan of Idina's voice as Elsa... I mean I love Idina Menzel, but her voice doesn't suit Elsa at all, and also the song is weak compared to others in the Disney songbook :( Just my opinion! Though I'll still buy her and just pretend she doesn't sing  Hoping I like the Anna singing doll better! :)

Im confused. are toddler dolls the same as the animator dolls?
Sorry, I call them all toddler dolls because they are toddler age. Elsa and Anna just say frozen on the box, nothing about animators collection. However, they look just alike to the animators line. I do agree, Idina's voice was very overpowering for the doll.....

going to have have to agree with u here, the voice doesn't match the face, the whole thing seems awkward

I don't quite understand why they gave the singing Elsa doll such a kind face, when "Let it Go" is from a segment of the film where she is expressing anger/exasperation...lol. $40 though? That has got to be a joke!!

the set is £50 a bit expensive! would have been nicer and better if it had the guys or a mini snowman and moose

It could be a reprise of sorts, the song clip from the doll sounds elated and liberated. The voice and the face fits for me, a Scandinavian character needs a strong voice.

Gah. I want singing Elsa so bad. And it looks like I'm in the minority here, but I actually think Idina's voice is perfect for Elsa. Whenever I hear "Let It Go" clips, I imagine the scene being animated in my mind. I have no idea how it's actually being animated, but I have it thought up pretty well with beautiful imagery. ;) Time to call all of the Disney Stores...

I actually quite enjoy the singing voice so far for the doll! It's really strong for a character that everyone is anticipating for too. Besides it's only just the voice & I haven't heard the music to go with the singing. & I don't want to hear it at all cause I told myself not to watch anymore spoilers after the 2nd trailer that was released. I really want to be excited again for a Disney movie lol.

I honestly hate how lazy this doll was done..

1. Her face is weird.
2. Her hair is too long.
3. How can a 12" Doll have more detail than a 17" doll?
4. While I understand that a lot of people like the colored hands, I honestly don't see why it was necessary. (SPOILER: Her hand doesn't turn to ice when she uses her powers.
5. I think the verse from the D23 Performance should have been used. It would have been more memorable.

The doll's face should have looked like this and so was her wardrobe.

So since I was in the disney store today for a few hours I got to really take a look at the frozen merch! They has toddler anna and singing elsa (but not the other sibling of each)- they were all sitting on the floor under the lowest cabinet. I thought the blue hands were neat and the face was nice from the pictures but honestly.. up close singing elsa just doesnt do it for me. Her 11" doll form has a really sweet smirk and no freckles- shes the only doll not to have them of the line- but I believe her singing version has them. Her face is also different and what I thought was a cute giggling face was actually very off putting in person. Anna toddler is really sweet though! I was also really surprised to realize that I adore the plush from the frozen line. The faces are so well done with little rosy cheeks and the doll itself is so soft and has tons of detail. These are just my opinions though! I wish I had gotten to hear elsa sing but I couldnt seem to get any dolls to work. It is my understanding though that the song she sings is very emotional and strong, and the character is described and fearful and withdrawn, so I really have no idea where the super smirky face is coming from... Also I really dislike that the dolls are motion activated instead of having the hand mechanism... I feel like that will be a problem for collectors because every time you walk by the display dolls will just start belting it out!

The entire song was performed at the D23 Expo...so I'm assuming you mean the clip that was allowed online? I agree that that portion is more "memorable", but as someone who is drinking in as much Frozen as possible right now, I like that the clip was different. ;)

And yes...those blue hands bother me. I don't really care for the light-up feature...and I'm guessing that's the excuse for the huge increase in price? Yeah...that's definitely not cool...but I still want the doll anyway.

Just out of curiosity...what picture were you trying to show? It's not coming up for me.

While some of us may not like the light up feature, I think children on the other hand would LOVE the light up feature. So I get why disney would see use for it on the doll

I love her too. I can't wait to get her. I have often noticed Disney never really gives you the perfect doll as there are features of each one that make it appealing but there may be something about it you don't quite like. I think if there was a perfect doll you would not need to buy another and they know that. That is why I probably have 50 Tinks and Ariels!!

I'm trying really hard to reserve judgment until I see the movie, but the more I listen to snippets of Let It Go the more I hate it. For one, and yes I'm aware that we haven't heard the song in an official capacity, the lyrics and the melody sound very disjointed, like they were thrown together. Another part of that I think is the fact that while Idina is an amazing singer her singing voice is too strong for Elsa. And I don't think I'll like her speaking voice for Elsa either. Idina sounds like a child sometimes imo. Elsa should be regal and delicate. All I can think of when I hear Idina is Maureen. And I hated Maureen as a character. :/

Hmmm, the news on the LE dolls has seemed to come to a halt....I wonder when they are going to release the dolls for pre-order soon. I'm also hoping the toddler dolls get to my DS when the 25% of coupon comes into effect!!!
