Hi, I have a friend going to WDW later this year and she wants to know where the Disney outlets are. Sadly, I haven't been to Florida in years so I don't know the current locations. Does anyone know where these are?

Thanks in advance!
-Crystal

There are three centers that have Disney outlet stores in the Orlando area. The Premium Outlet Center on Vineland near DTD has the best Disney outlet IMHO, called Character Premiere. The other Premium Outlet Center on the north end of International Drive also has a good Disney outlet, called Character Warehouse. There is also a Disney outlet stores in the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores, called Character Outlet, but their selection is very limited.

The addresses and specific locations of each Disney outlet stores are available on the internet.

Hi Crystal,
There is one inside of Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, which is the city right next to Ft. Lauderdale. It is a Disney Character Premiere. This mall is huge, so your friend might like to shop there. They bus tourists in from all over to shop here. Prices are good and it takes hours to see this giant mall.

Also there's a second store in LBV Factory Stores . . once again, not much in the way of selection, though if she's looking for pins, I recommend the second store in LBV if she goes to that plaza. Otherwise, the other two locations are much better :)

I've always found pretty good pins at the Character Warehouse on the north end of I-Drive. However, the parking was atrocious. They usually have a pretty good selection of other merchandise as well to purchase there. I've found some really good deals there including some of the Piece of History III Haunted Mansion spinners. It's always worth a look when you go. I will have to add the one closer to DTD to my routine now as I always mistook that one for the LBV Factory Outlet store which I found pretty much nothing in.

I live really close to a Character Warehouse in Southwest Florida, between Fort Myers and Naples. Having that store near me makes all the difference in being able to afford pin collecting.

I heard Al Benaquista mention the outlets on the recent edition of the Pin Trading Podcast and meant to ask which stores he meant specifically, so thanks for the info.

I think someone should collect this information and put together a sticky or some kind of permanent resource so that when one of us is going to WDW, we can just print it out and have addresses, phone numbers, maybe even maps of the places that have pin deals.

I had asked the same question last year on dizpins.

You can find a bit more about the outlets in FL at Mousesavers.com.

Here is a link: http://www.mousesavers.com/otherwdw.html#outlets

I have been to one of those outlets last year in May. Sadly, I can't remember which one - want to say Vineland though.

It was very disappointing (at the time of our visit) with a limited selection of merchandise, not so great discounts and nearly no pins except few dinky mystery packs with cars. They had nice watches and jewellery though. We truly regretted the round trip cab fare we had to pay. But, I have heard it also depends on the time of year.

Hope this helps a bit.

Just wanted to add that one of the CMs in the Sawgrass Mills location was wearing a pin lanyard for trading when I was there. I don't know about the other locations.

The cast memebers wear lanyards at the Prime Outlet and Premium outlet malls in Orlando. I've always traded with them at both places. The nice thing about both outlet malls in Orlando is that they're close to each other. The sawgrass mall is great, but it's a couple hour drive away from Orlando. So it depends on where your friend is going on her trip.

Hey guys, I wanted to also point out tha the character premier outlet in St. Augustine, Fl also holds pin trading nights every Friday from 6 to 8 pm. I just found out about it, went last Friday and it was really nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They have several CM and they have lanyards. They also trade vynilmations.

My favorite outlet was the one at the end of International Drive . The Disney Character outlet was huge . Lots of other fun stores with great savings . I think it was yje Prime Outlets and changed to The Premier Outlets . Way down past Wet n Wild .
