My little boy loves trains. LOVES trains. :)

We recently went to Disney World with my parents and grandmother who live in Florida. My son was so excited about everything, but especially the monorail and steam train at the Magic Kingdom. He even got to be the guest conductor and say "All Aboard!"

I bought the Ride the Rails pin for him and we got the Donald conductor in a PWP mystery package. I got the Dale conductor pin & monorails from trades with Cast Members. To be honest, I'm not sure about the authenticity of the monorails, but my son was so excited about the first monorail pin we found (the yellow one) that I don't mind if I took a few scrappers out of park circulation. He is thrilled to have them.

I got a little cork board to hang in his room and he put all of the pins on it. He is very proud of his little collection.

I'm a very casual pin collector, and I know most people here have way more impressive collections. I just wanted to share my little guy's excitement.

Adorable! Would he like the Goofy PWP? I'd be happy to send it to him.
Thank you, that is very kind of you to offer!
I actually bought a few pins on eBay to add to his collection (I'm thinking a new pin here & there will be a good reward when he's on his best behavior), so we have Goofy as well as Minnie are on the way.

OMG - your son is adorable!

I don't think I have any train pins right now, but if I get one in the future I will totally put it aside for him. (I love to help little ones out with their budding collections whenever I can.)

That Ride the Rails one is awesome. :)

Awww he is so cute1 Will look through my pins and see if I have any trains! I love helping kids. They just love pins for what they look like, not how much they sell for on ebay. My girls always gets as excited for a hidden mickey pin that they like as an LE 300 pin :) Love to see their faces light up when they get a new pin they like!

Awwww what fun! I love to see such joy!

If you're interested, I have a couple of annual passholder train pins that he might like. (Red Car Trolley and Monorail.) If you might like to have them as rewards, feel free to PM me your address! :)

I've got a train guy too! One of the coolest experiences was the Behind the Rails tour at Magic Kingdom WDW. The tour starts extremely early in the morning (before the park opens) and you get a tour of the roundhouse and all of the trains, hear about the history of the railroad, and Walt's love of trains. It is SOOOOO worth the extra $$$$. Kids must be at least 10 years old to do the tour.

You also get a cool pin!

Thank you for all of your kind words! I will have to sort my pins and post a trade thread to see if we can add to my son's collection. I'm honestly shocked with all of the kind offers of pins for my little guy. You guys are an awesome bunch!

Thank you! That is very sweet of you to think of my little guy. :)

I think the Ride The Rails pin is very cool. I picked it out for him as a surprise and gave it to him after we left the parks. ;)

Thank you!! I agree with your girls... I think the magic is in the appeal of the pin to the individual, not the price tag. That is probably why I'm just a casual collector. I have not hit the higher value want list yet, lol! My son proudly wore the yellow monorail pin on his sweatshirt and said "see my monorail?!" to anyone willing to look.

Thank you! That is a very kind offer. I don't think I have anything trade worthy, but I will send you a pm. :)

I have Pinpics 100499 PWP Starter Set Donald and Goofy I can send him if it hasn't already been offered.

Thank you very much! I believe that is one of the ones I bought from eBay for him, but your kind offer is really appreciated. :)

I was reading about this tour! I'd love to take it in the future when he's a little older. I did a different behind the scenes tour when I was in high school, and I remember it being really special.

Very cute collection! Your son is adorable. Good luck on his collection. I know there were a few limited edition train pins last year, I don't remember them being that pricey. They may make for good birthday or holiday presents if you can find them for a good price.

ADorable and love that he has theme already ! I have the Chip PWP if you want to PM where to mail it you are more than welcome to it.

Thank you everyone! :)

I'll send you the rest of the PWP pins you need..just pm me your mailing address.

Thanks to both of you for your kind offers. I did have someone message me earlier about the remaining PWP pins, so we aren't currently looking for them. I do really appreciate your generosity, though!

Trains are an excellent theme for a pin collection.
There are LOTS and LOTS of train pins out there. DSSH also likes to release train sets every now and then.
I have a feeling his board will be filled up in no time!

I love it! There are definitely some pretty great train pins out there.
(Particularly the DLP train set for the 20th anniversary - I love that you can join the carriages together)
Keep it up :-)
