Hey guys!

So it’s time to part with some collections that are just gathering dust…

Many moons ago, I thought of collecting all of the Zodiac sets, but my collections have moved on to different pastures. So my summer cleaning is your gain! :D Here’s what you’ll be bidding on:

Zodia%20Auction%20Mine_zpskr8jwupy.jpg

THAT’S RIGHT!! THE ENTIRE SET!!!!

Zodiac%20auction_zps9pjlimwq.png

ALL 12 PINS!!!!!

These guys are all in great condition, and each one is LE 5000. While some of their trade ratios aren’t the best, trying to track down all 12 pins is expensive in shipping alone! And these pins are averaging around $7 per pin on the infamous auction site. So collectively, it’s a fairly pricy collection. (THIS IS NOT A CASH AUCTION—I provide that merely as a point of note).

These make an incredibly pretty set all together, and I even have an awesome frame/shadow box which I can offer to the winner (separately from this auction: frame NOT included)!

So some guidelines for this auction? Well, I’ve had them forever, and individually, they’re not exactly “valuable†pins. But I spent a lot of time (and got a lot of help) getting this set together, so I’d love to get something at least decent for it, hahah! “Decent†can mean any number of things: including but not limited to single “higher†value pins, or several “lower†value pins. But I think in general, quality will beat quantity here. But who knows! :D

All bids and bidders welcome! :3

All standard DPF auction rules apply. But here are some specifics:
Only bids on this thread are allowed, no PM bids.
No cash bids.
If you want to help someone else bid, please contact them and bid through them. So that things stay tidy. :3
HAVE FUN!!! This is a fun hobby. :3

General Wants, as shown in my banner:
Sword in the Stone pins (mostly Merlin)
Aladdin Pins featuring the Carpet and/or Prince Ali
Scrooge McDuck
Robin Hood (especially Prince John and Sir Hiss, but Robin too!)
Pin-Tiquites / Masterpiece
Star Wars (especially Disney characters (not the Muppets) as Star Wars characters!)
Hercules (in order: Muses, Megara, Young Herc, Hades, Pegasus (baby and adult), Herc, the gods, Pain/Panic, Phil)*

*This will be the next collection I start, and as such the set I have the least of already! So a fertile ground for offering smaller pins!!.

Also interested in:
Jafar / Aladdin general
Disney Afternoon (Ducktales, Darkwing)
PTDs
Pins with characters reading or books
Pins that make literary references
Good traders
Stitch

Do Not Want: (unless it's on my wants)
Hidden Mickey
Pins with bad trading ratios
Scrappers/Counterfeits

Also, I have a thing for “Specific Moment in Time†pins. Pins that feature a very specific moment in the films (such as the “Matchmaker on Fire†or "Jasmine in the Sand Timer" from my banner).

Things do no need to be from these lists to be bid. I’d also be tickled pink with other awesome traders! :3

This auction will end at 11:59pm on Saturday, June 18 Eastern Time (WDW time). I will do my absolute best to keep things updated. There will be a leader board posted after three bids and whenever there is a change after that! But I will try and keep it up to date. But above all, HAVE FUN!

Good luck, everyone! ^0^

Oooooooh this set is too cute to pass up! I'll start with:

4ae76da88997582819fd455c2847b5a7.jpg

Pin 113251 WDW - Adventureland Aladdin Surprise Pin

This one is an AP though, (so I should probably make a different Pinpics listing)

I have a feeling that this will be a wonderful auction!

Great first bid!! :D And I certainly don't mind it being AP (as long as it looks like the picture :3)

And I hope the auction is good! I want this set to go to a good home. :3

Are you specifically into AP pins. Becausr I have a dosneyworld race AP pin and the pin is already Le 1500! Any interest?

Thanks

I don't have a particular interest really, or a particular disinterest. :) you're welcome to bid whatever you'd like. :)

I've never done this before. So would it be wrong of me to bid only one pin? What do you think?

Thanks for helping this newbie out!

It's not wrong. :) it's whatever you want to bid. :) you may win with that one pin, you may need to add more as more bids come in! Who knows! :3 but one pin is fine to start, for sure. :)

I've been toiling with this too. The pin auction is an interesting beast, but the cool thing is that Merlin gets to decide what he likes best out of the bids he gets. It's also a matter of bidding - you can add more pins or change the pins later if you're not at the top of the leaderboard (something Merlin can put up once more people bid) to try and be at the top. And everyone else can do at the same. It's a bit of a game, so just have a little honest fun with it.

Exactly! :3 it's a lot of fun. And it's sort of win win for everyone because if You DON'T win you're not out anything. But if you do win, it's like you traded for them (I. E. You're not paying money!). So I'm all up for pin auctions. :3
