Has anybody heard anything about the pins being released at the expo this year?

No, and no one would, until the information for what's available for sorcerer's package ticket holders ($2500/ticket) get. But, even then, that still won't be everything.

We probably won't know anything until the week/day of the event.
WDI etc won't be previewed so you'll just need to wait for pictures from the day.

However, what may be different this year, in terms of previews, is that the Epcot Pin Event is before D23 this year. The WDI booth may not specifically say which items are for D23, but this year we might have clues. Unless, they don't come to Epcot because of preparation for D23...

Good point! That will definitely be interesting to keep an eye on this year for sure.
I might be able to trade for some of the Epcot Event pins in person if some traders are going to both events 😀
