(I tried posting this one the event coverage forum but looks like it’s locked down.)
Just thought I would provide a short recap of Day 1 of the A2Z event.
It was good.
Thanks for reading.
Ok,ok, a little more detail. Today was pick up day and trading with other attendees. DPF had very good representation with @Chusaurus @wdwaurora @splashmtnman @hopemax @TheMickeyMouseRules @Randakinskywalker @goofyone @MansionVault all sitting in the same general area and helping keep an eye on each other’s stuff. Good trades were had by all.
The event pins are very nice. The storybook mysteries were extra popular and a lot of folks are after those. They had a ton of stations for the pin pick ups and, while it took a while, I think it was generally faster than some prior years.
Unfortunately the space wasn’t particularly great. Yes, there were tables and chairs which is all you really need, but that was it. The space was otherwise pretty drab, being basically in the basement/utility area of the arena. They didn’t even bother to have water coolers for us unlike every other year. I hope they put a little more effort into tomorrow.
The other downside was that there were not as many traders as usual. The competing private events definitely drew some people away. But if that ends up being the case tomorrow that could be a good thing resulting in shorter lines for the event boards. Fingers crossed.
Sorry, no photos. There wasn’t much to see.
