Some Pin Pics people finally want to trade with me! The only pin of mine any of them want is this:
pin93913

Pin 93913: DMR - New Fantasyland Grand Opening 2012
Of the ones they have offered me the one I think would be most worth trading for is this one:

pin92176

Pin 92176: WDW - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2012 - Chip & Dale
I just wanted to ask a few questions here first to make sure I'm not being stupid. First, I am having trouble gauging the value of the New Fantasyland pin. It is listed for all different prices on ebay. Some people are asking close to $100 for it but I don't know that anyone is paying that much. I see that it is around $30 with several bidders and a few days to go so it does seem to be one that people want. To me, since I wasn't at the grand opening it isn't all that important to me but it is the most valuable of my traders so I want to get something good for it. I want the Chip and Dale MNSSHP pin a lot because we went to that party and I collect Chip and Dale. I know there are more valuable pins on my wants list but I don't think the New Fantasyland pin could get me those. I was just thinking that it might eventually be worth more and maybe I should hold on to it. I was hoping that some experienced collectors might be willing to give their opinions on the projected value of this pin.

Second I am a little nervous to trade without seeing the condition of the actual pin I am getting. I was thinking of asking the trader to send a pic of the pin to me before trading. My trade away pin is on the card, in the plastic with no flaws. I have seen pics of some LE pins on ebay with big scratches or paint dips and I would be disappointed if I traded a nice pin for one like that.

Any other advice from experienced traders would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Only my opinion but I think your pin is way better than the chip and dale and would not do that trade.

However if you are happy with that trade , go for it but don't think on value in $'s

You can get much better offers for that pin here in an auction... I also would not trade as yours is sought after by more various types of collectors from those who collect castles to those who do opening day pins... True Chip n Dale collectors would prefer them without words as most who collect pins prefer when collecting a specific character... Best of luck...

Thanks guys... I am reconsidering now that I see the Chip and Dale pin on ebay. It wasn't there last time I checked so I assumed it was rare. Now it's there and not all that pricey. I didn't know people would prefer character pins without words. There really is so much I don't know. I think maybe I'm not ready for serious trading. I really just want to jump in and have fun but the more I try to the more confusing and complicated it seems. No one wants to trade pins of little value and I'm out of my league trying to trade pins with more value. I did get another Pin Pics offer for one of my traders I know I won't miss so I am going to start there to get a feel for how trading works, I guess.
