I'm a new addict! Can't wait to get to know everyone! About me:

I've been married almost 10 years to a police officer and have four girls ages 7, 6, 6 & 3. I'm a now disabled stay at home mom. I will be disabled for life from a doctor's mistake (not following standard of care) that happened in Oct 2010. I went 36 hours with an undiagnosed perforated ulcer and a walking miracle. My expert docs said that no one has lived after about 27 hrs with a perforation. I now have severe chronic pain from extreme scar tissue my body made trying to protect my organs from the 4 liters of bile, gastroparesis and colonic inertia.

March this year, I was finally well enough to take my girls to Disney World. Before our trip, I researched things to do since it had been over 20 years since I had been there. I read about pin trading and that was all I needed. I researched legit sellers online and bought our first 100 pins. I was lucky to get some great starters pins so thee girls could try and complete (me too). I'm addicted and my oldest three are now addicted too. We had so much fun trading with cast members and other collectors. Shhhh....don't tell hubby, I think the girls and I spent about $1000 buying pins for us or buying LE for traders on this trip...lol I hate to see next year. :anxious:

My ultimate goal is to get every villain pin & haunted mansion pins. My girls want any Cinderlla's and those 3/d Mickey heads (not sure of the name).

Hi! I guess by the 2 age 6 kids you have twins? I also have twins. Identical girls, they will turn 9 in june. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the addiction! It comes and goes in spurts, but it never leaves, so get used to it, it will be your constant companion wherever you go now, because you will always have an eye out for any bright shiny object people are wearing, lol. You will look for display boards in almost any store and will stop to look at any hint of a pin in a display case. There is good news, however, since this addiction does not have any detrimental long term effects (except on your pocketbook lol). Be happy, and hunt for pins at any given time and you may be surprised what you can find. It's a blast, and I hope you and your girls have as much fun as I've had for years.

Thanks for the wonderful welcome's everyone!! I'm enjoying every minute of being on here. I was so excited today.... I got another shipment of pins in from a recommended seller...had to hide them from hubby....lol
