Pin 17180 : Japan - Drink Me (Alice in the Bottle)

Q. Is there anyway to remove the scratch on the pin?
A. I am new to pin trading/collecting so I've never tried to fix scratches so I'm not sure. I do not want to try to 'fix' it, only to make it worst.

Q. Are there many tiny scratches all over the pin as well?
A. There are some light scratches here and there. Be aware though I am using a macro lens for my DSLR camera and that means the lens is meant to pick up details. Almost all of it. Also, in the 2nd photograph, there is sunlight hitting the pin. Those two factors combined will make the slightest scratch look very prominent. I personally think it is less so in person. If you don't tilt the pin and put it straight under the light, then the scratches aren't that visible. The long scratch, though, is the one that you can clearly see under or not under light.
