Hello! We saw some other threads on here offering art in exchange for pins
and thought it sounded like fun, so we figured we would give it a try!

~ The Animation Behind Hannahmation ~

We use Hannah's art to enhance our pin boards (as background images, for decoration, etc.)
and we know some others use art in their pin books, for framed pins, and for other purposes, so
we were wondering if there might be anyone interested in trading pins for artwork? It could
be of a particular character, a certain scene, or a character or scene of your own design -
your choice! :)

Traders would have the option of either a pencil sketch or a digitally coloured picture - please keep
in mind that it takes about five hours to finish a sketch and about another five to colour it digitally! All
artwork is copyrighted by Hannahmation (so if you do decide you would like a piece of art, please do
not remove the signature!), but your sketch-for-pins would not be watermarked (like Rapunzel is).

Thank you for looking! :)

That is quite pretty . I was thinking the Beast's castle when it comes time to display my BATB pins , but even then how do we depict the inside from outside of castle . So hard trying to explain what I want . Like Maurice holding Lumiere as light, to beast holding Gaston by throat on top of the castle, to the ballroom when they are human again . You have to look at my pins this far and get an idea of what I have . I'm trying to do them in order of the movie .

Tinker, thank you so much - I'm so flattered!! What you have in mind is really neat, though it would be quite a challenging undertaking, haha! There would be no way to do that with just one sketch, unfortunately-- the sketch pages I use are only about 8"x11", and with so many nice pins having been released of Beauty and the Beast (especially the ballroom scene!) I imagine your pin board is much bigger than that! The only way I could see the piece you suggested working (that I think could work well) would be for me to do each location as a separate sketch and then scan them into my computer, colour them in Photoshop, line them up in Photoshop as one long panoramic picture, and then print that off at Staples or Kinko's, laminate it, and send it as one complete picture. That way it would potentially be less trouble putting it up on a board, and just in case something happens to it in the mail, the art wouldn't be lost forever! (Plus with a complex piece like that, I would want to be able to put the original sketches into my portfolio for my application to SCAD.) If you were just wanting one sketch, perhaps you could pick a favourite scene for me to do for you instead? :)

Gis - I can send the original sketch, but as mentioned above, I am compiling a portfolio for application to SCAD and was hoping to be able to use some of these pieces in it, so I would prefer to simply send the sketch digitally (scanned in high quality). I hope that is okay! :)

EDIT: RiftRaft - watching you back! <3

Hanna,

Oh man. I do get it. I really do: portfolios are so important. The thing is, I tend to go for original pieces when I go after artwork. But how about this, let's paint a picture. If you would send me an original pencil sketch, I will take the time to matte and frame it and hang it up at work. And by 'work' I mean my office at the WDAS. It's up to you.. but I would really love to do this. Ask Gabby :) Her wonderful picture of Ariel is up on my wall right now.. :)

But really, your artwork would be doing me a favor..

Gis - Goodness! WDAS!! Now you've really got my attention, haha! What did you have in mind for a picture? And what is Gabby's username on here? I would love to see some of her work - I bet she's fantastic! :)

While I don't work anywhere fancy at the moment and I don't get my own permanent space when I'm on a film set, I am in agreement with gis, having just a print of a piece that was done especially for me is a bit of a disappointment, my original art is more valuable to me than anyone of my pins. It's a wonderful idea though. I'd love to check out some of your other drawings what is your username on deviantart? The same as it is here?

Rubyslipperedgoddess - You make an excellent point! The only reason I'm hesitant to send original sketches at the moment is (as I mentioned earlier) that I am trying to put together a portfolio to present to SCAD and think some of these would be nice additions. However, I can certainly see how an original piece would be much, much nicer than just a digital scan/print! I will definitely make that an option for this thread - thank you for the helpful suggestion! :)

My username on deviantArt is Hannah-mation (somebody had taken Hannahmation, grr!) but I haven't updated my gallery in ages, so let me take a bit to clean it up a little, if you wouldn't mind, just in case you do decide you want to check it out. ;)

This is the frame I was looking at, not as large as I thought .

Hannah, please look at my collection . I would hang the frame 16 x12 length . The Marquee theathre pin would be the first pin in middle . then starting with beginning to end of movie . See what you envision . Also check out my wants . As I get them they will fit in somewhere .

Your idea sounds wonderful! I think that we have recently traded with you for our current wants from your traders, though, so maybe this is something we could talk about again later, after you get more of your Beauty and the Beast wants. :)

That is an awesome idea! I would do that with my own art but it pales in comparison to yours. I hope you get some nice pins:)
