[TD]This beautiful candy-apple red glazed Disney ARTIST PROOF Mickey Holiday Season November 2001 Artist
Choice pin is designed to resemble a fine Christmas ornament. It features an amazing frosted image of Captain
Mickey Mouse welcoming his passengers with a salute. AP pins are typically identified with an "AP" mark stamped
on the back of the pin (see photo #2). This extra step is done by the manufacturer once the pin has been created.
Approximately 24 Artist Proof (AP) pins are produced during the creation process and sent to Disney Theme Park
Merchandise headquarters where they are used to verify desired quality. Fewer AP pins may be created for a pin
that has a lower edition size. One of every pin created is kept in a permanent Disney Pin Archive at Disney Theme
Park Merchandise headquarters and one pin is sent to the Walt Disney Archives at the Walt Disney Studios in
Burbank, California. Artist Proof pins are not sold in the stores. This pin is also an Artist Choice pin. Artist Choice
pins are created by one of the Disney Design Group's Artists and feature an Artist Choice medallion and logo.This
