ok. can you picture this?
The winter one i showed you the first but with different flowers. I like the snow fluff, and glitter moss those definitely stay. I want to off set the entry, put it to one side, and perhaps a dark rock path around the front. (like the image of the unfinished piece is) Instead of the red and white poinsettia's i was thinking several larger types of white flowers at the back, draping over slightly across the top of the pixie house's round dome. The white draping flowers can give the illusion of snow falling if done right. Then maybe 3 dark teal green flowers around the outside edge. Scattered around the whole thing i was considering some very small blue flowers, light blue most likely, but i might add some dark blue for contrast on the snow fluff. Inside I usually do a "flooring" of coffee grounds, gives it a nice dark color, and smells nice. Since i firmly believe that fairys DO visit these little houses, i often put a tiny nest bed of some kind.
Any fairy home I make has beadwork someplace. either as part of leaf decor, as bead flowers or accents. I never know exactly how or where until about halfway through the creation process. Beadwork for me cna sometimes be as simple as a string of tiny "seed" beads wrapped around a small wood branch... to a more complex feature like leaves.
here is one example of my sort of beadwork:
the small leaves sticking up are all beads, and the blue wrapped around the twig is all embroidery thread. There is also a bead string spiralling the twig if you look to the side, above the white rocks.
