wish I could have been there

Scarily, I either own or want a good portion of those pins...
It's such a shame this auctioneer doesn't have an online bidding system! Most here in the UK have them now![]()
We used to have an online bidding system, two actually. They weren't worth the fees and weren't generating enough interest to keep it up anymore
Also it's an extra person on payroll to clerk the online bidders - I've done it a few times before we got rid of it.
Hope everything went ok Brittany. Guess you had a late night / early morning !!!
Ahh that makes sense fair enough
Hope the pin bidding was fun to watch, gutted I'm on the wrong side of the pond to bid but nice to see a few Paris pins I have were in there ^_^
Sort of sad for me. Except for allllllll the rack pins/vinyls, I have a majority of them in my collection, had or traded for the majority of them away and even sold most.
By looking at the lot, I can tell this person visited every Event DLR and WDW since 2007. I do not see a Theme at all, just gotta gave all the pins.
While there they bought whatever LE was at the Park at the time of visit and took all the Rack pins possible. They even traded for lanyard pins on the visit.
Assuming at the events, they then traded for oversees pins, that's where I see Paris and Japan pins.
I would be curios of final bids but throughout the entire collection, I would like only 1 pin.

Good luck to the winner(s) and sorry to the collector.
As you see on these boards, find a Theme and stay within your budget. Don't buy a lot of traders thinking you will get a trade for a grail you want NOW. You might just be able to buy the Grail?
And in todays pin world, buying 100 pins to get that one Rapunzel Reveal/Conceal pin is wishful thinking. It's ok to get into trading late, it's what keeps pin trading alive. I want to trade my older pins and a newbie wants them. That's where the magic happens. Chats, trades, meetings.
Currently, I'm in a possible three way trade. Although we all trade different, have different collections and Themes, we are working on getting something we eventually want. I can assume 1 of us has a specific theme to that is eventually close to complete and is hard to trade from and for, 1 of us is narrowing down to their specific various Themes and acquiring pins in that goal and 1 of us has a few Themes but really wants what she really likes and enjoys so that makes it her Theme and all 3 of us treat pins personally and praise what we call a Grail. Because that Grail can be worth $800 or $12.95 + tax? A Grail can have a 1/230 trade/want ratio or it can have a 35/22 ratio. A Grail to you is a Grail to you.
So who's up for trading? Or, buying/selling?
PM incoming Donna!![]()
The sale was 18 hours (the entire sale - there are 3-4 going on at one time in different rooms) and ended at 2:30 this morning. I didn't get home until 3:30 this morning and I'm so sick I can't sleep haha
Also if he peeks on here, thanks to Anthony who flew in, was a doll and was such a kind human being that although his budget far exceeded mine, allowed me to literally win lots by not bidding against me because he new i really wanted the pins in there! That says alot about character and having the Disney spirit.
I'm glad I could helpand it was so nice to meet (and talk on the phone!) with members and put names to faces. I'm just happy to see the collection go to happy homes.
Dawny - I apologize about the rough housing on the pins, they were making me cringe tooThere was so much excitement going on - a man walked out with two pin sets and we caught him and kicked him out after you left. I'll see you tonight though, no voice and all!
Lesson learned through all of this: more redbull, when prying massive amounts of pins on backers from boards in under a minute your hands WILL bleed, and I clearly value pins more than my car
