D23 Silver Cinderella, is it worth it?

Hi everyone,


i just wanted to ask your opinion on something in relation to the D23 silver Cinderella. Do you think it is worth buying it based on how much they are going for on eBay at the moment? $1200-1500?

Just wanted to know why is so special about it and if you think it would be worth paying that much for it if you had the money? I mean I know they are limited to only 250 but other than that is that it? The fact that they have been listed for a while means that they are over priced?

Hey there love, you should check the completed listings. though they may be 1,200-1,500 listed, the only ones that have sold recently was for 700$.


Without a longer listing of time I wouldn't think it was a good investment seeing s they haven't sold since september. I'd wait and let it go down.




ALSO. The reason why it is special is because it is LE 250. It was only available to members of D23 and is the same as the Designer Cinderella LE 8000 sans the blue dress.
 
I have one, it is pretty cool but not 1k+++ cool. If you have the regular designer Cinderella, its not that much different. And Carissa is right, they only sell for around 700, so if you have to have her because you want to complete your designer doll collection or love Cindy so much, wait for one that is less to come up. And just to add something else to this.... if its because you love Cinderella, go for the LE 17'' doll instead! That seriously is a lot more well-made than the designers in my opinion. I feel like the designers had so many manufacturing flaws, and I think the 17 inch dolls are so much prettier.
 
Thanks for the advice guys, I do like Cinderella but not that much, if anything the reason I would want to get her would be to complete the set. But I already have the normal Cinderella designer so if the only difference is that the dress is silver and the limited edition size is smaller then like you guys have said I cannot justify paying that much for her.

Maybe eventually if the price were to go down! Lol
 
I am so psyched! I finally managed to get her at a somewhat reasonable price and I am really excited. Which means I have finally completed my designer and LE set yay!

so happy for you. I have recently started to really like Tiana. WHY, I didn't buy the designer pin at Christmas time when she was BIN for $99.00 is beyond me. I could kick myself now.

Yes imnotbad after finally managing to land a D23 silver Cinderella I now have the entire designer and LE doll set and I sooo excited! I will post pics of my entire collection as soon as I receive Cinderella!

I know some people just had certain holy grails but to me the entire set was sort of my grail as I love collecting things that are limited or collectibles and I do not usually collect dolls. But I love the characters and I think these dolls are amazing and I knew from the start I wouldn't be happy unless I had them all. (Such a Gen Y attitude! LOL)

I am also impressed that I managed to complete the set at a fairly reasonable cost even though I live in Australia where we have no direct market to purchase it from LOL.

oh one thing though, I do not have the Jessie LE doll. I don't know if it is really necessary for me to get her to really complete the set as she wasn't as great as much of the other dolls and is not very well known to even being released but at the same time I have all the other LE dolls such as Buzz and Woody, Jack and Sally, China Doll and Calhoun. So I sort of have that side of the LE dolls too. I dunno what do you guys think, is it necessary to have Jessie to complete the set or not?

As for LE Jessie, it sounds like you are a true completist, so you probably should get her, too. Just my 2 cents, but since you do have Buzz & Woody, Jack & Sally, China Girl, and Sgt. Calhoun, it just seems logical to get her because she goes with the Toy Story dolls. Also, like Buzz, Woody, and the China Girl, LE Jessie is more like an actual real-life version of the character as opposed to just a doll version of one, if that makes any sense (the princess, villain, and Wonderland dolls are doll renditions of the characters, but the aforementioned characters are actually toys, which makes them more true-to-life). Plus, she will give you a new pursuit. Some people like that.
 
Haha thanks Shivatopia! It's so bad that I am a completist though haha. It just means I spend so much, at first I was just going to get the dolls I really wanted based on my favorite characters etc but I just thought they were amazing so I had to complete the entire set. One thing though I will definitely treasure my collection that's for sure haha.

I will see how I go with Jessie because for some reason my desire to get her is not as great as the others. I think it is because of how expensive she is at the moment without justification as to why she is so expensive which sort of puts me off her. Also I have the toy story 3 collection version of Jessie which I believe looks better than the LE version of her. Maybe down the track if I get a great deal for her then I will get her.

I can't wait to post pics of them all! It's just so exciting haha.
