Disneyland Pin On Sale/Sell Out Factor

so I'm new to collecting/trading and slowly figuring it all out. I know release days at Disneyland are usually on Thursdays. Do they generally release pins in most of the shops? I ask because I'm in the park often and notice certain pins such as Window to Magic Pongo/Perdita and Piece of History (pretty much any of them) are no where to be found. I really want to go down on the 30th for the Roger Rabbit anniversary pin but the edition is 300. Does it get like DSF?

In general at DLR/DCA the higher edition size releases such as the piece of history and the window to the magic are available at these locations:

• DTD pin traders.
• DTD world of disney store.
• DCA five and dime. (also across Buena vista street at that other store by the fruit stand)
• DCA Fly n buy.
• DLR Emporium
• DLR Westward Ho
• DLR Little green men
• and sometimes the Store in toon town.

sell out factor: Some last a week, some last a few days... Nothing had sold out entirely on the first day yet for this years pins except the Revenge of the 5th and may the 4th be with you pins... those were sold out fast and only available at 2 locations.

For bigger releases, like really popular ones that are predicted to sell out, they will only put them at 3 locations, and often distribute wristbands in DTD by the pin trader store.

Thank you for your help! I'll probably go down early for Roger, being the edition is only 300 and I really want it. I suppose if I want to avoid LA traffic I'm going to be getting there earlier than planned.
In general, what time do they distribute wrist bands (and what time will people line up) for those predicted to sell out?

if the roger is predicted for sell out, the wristband distribution will start around 7am in DTD either by rainforest cafe or by the pin shop in DTD next to the monorail. Folsk usually start lining up earlier than that.... While the roger is LE300, i do not predict a wristband event... but I have been wrong about thosr things in the past.

The only Roger I'm seeing is an LE500. Are you saying 300 because some go to WDW?

I have a picture of it from the last pin trader night at it says LE. 1000 so we get 500; not 300....

the parks website has it listed at 300

and even better...was updated this morning to 500 per park.
