Dreams really can come True! Last 4 out of 6 Holiest Grails achieved!
Well I honestly never thought i'd see the day but here we are! Back in March I acquired two out of six of the holiest among holiest grails in my collection, those were pins 23955 and 23954 Cinderella and Ariel from the 2003 Disney Auctions Princess carousel set (in their original packaging no less!). I was on the hunt for the final four but honestly didn't think it would ever happen.
However, the forum sprinkled it's magical, disney, fairy dust on me, and my wishes have come true. Sometime after my dog recovered from her surgery (Again, thanks to all who donated and sent their well wishes!), and with some sneaky gifting on the part of my parents, I acquired pin 23950, Snow White, from a very kind user on Ebay. A lot has happened since then and I never quite had the time to post her here, so I am adding her into this pin showroom.
Finally earlier in July, I was contacted by the lovely EmmaCollins here on DPF, who inherited some old and rarer pins. She graciously let me sift through her collection and at last the final three pins I had been searching for emerged! Pins 23953, 23951, and 23948, Belle, Jasmine, and Aurora have joined the collection in all their glory! All on their original backing cards too!
At last after a nine year long search has gotten off and ended in a matter of months. So many rejections, so many twists and turns, and of course so many kind people willing to help one dream come true.
I will get these girls mounted and displayed as soon as i can so they may be viewed in all their glory but for now, they are all going to stay nice and safely tucked away!
Looks like its finally time for this dream to end, but like Rapunzel and Eugene pointed out in tangled,
Rapunzel: ...What if it's not everything I dreamed it would be?
Flynn Rider: It will be.
Rapunzel: And what if it is? What do I do then?
Flynn Rider: Well, that's the good part I guess. You get to go find a new dream.
It's time to update my signature and start my search for another set. But for at least for a little while, i'm going to take a moment to enjoy this dream come true. Thanks to all who supported my endeavor! And I hope to trade with you in the future!
