DSF EGGS , want a set?
There is a difference helping people and helping others. I have "helped" in many ways.

1) Helping to buy pins since I am already there charging Retail + Tax + shipping (postage, LBE) + $5 for splitting gas.

2) Helping others in other parts of the world and in turn they help you get pins when they come out in that part of the world = at Retail + Tax + shipping (postage, LBE)

But the third, if its a popular release and I am getting there hours prior to release, I charge above the normal of 1) and 2) because these pins usually have a higher resale value/trade value and although I am already there - your not! That should demand a higher fee or else there is always eBay?

What I can not stand are the "new friends" that you do favors for and find out that they can live in the same state, or out of state or across an ocean just to use "US" so they can resell them at a profit!!!

You have to remember, we do not know you. Even at DLR Trade Night, there is lots of chats and conversations but until you meet a couple of times and make a few trades then find out you know the same traders you do favors for. Maybe after a couple of purchases, the prices drop a little to HELP OUT. Just because some of us live near a park or store around the world, we do not owe others. Plus, you can't imagine once you help others like Chicken Little does, she and others get 20 or more request asking "can you help me?"

I recently contacted a Japan "Helper". We don't know each other but I offered to over trade or buy above the selling retail. I can just imagine the PM's she gets daily once a pin comes out. I do hope she can help but overall its up to her to help.

So remember, when you ask for help for a pin, there are many others asking the same thing on different days so running down to get your pin comes at a cost.

ChickenLittle has gotten me some of the past couple DSF pins, and I've already planning on getting the April ones. There is no way I could get there to buy the pins, and DisneyShopping.com barely puts out any good pins anymore. WDW LE pins I've been able to get through Disney Merch a couple times, but any of the really cool ones I can only get if I'm luckly enough to be there on a trip and it comes out. I have no problem paying for the pins+tax+shipping+$ for the persons time. I'd rather do that, then try to get them off Ebay and pay more.

Whatever people feel is appropriate to charge aside, the rules of this website says that pins for sale must list a price. IMO, that should include pre-sales. It would help both sides not to have to make unnecessary contacts if they don't like the price.

It would be great if the moderators could weigh in, on that point.

I will ignore this type of thread as long as it's in the sales forum, clearly labeled, where it belongs. Then I know who to avoid for future trades/sales.

If you choose to scalp newly released pins for your own benefit, fine. I just hope there aren't more of you in this hobby than there are of us. I am starting to get the feeling that there are more scrappers and scalpers out there than there are traders and collectors. And yes, scalpers are the same level as scrappers. You both prey on collectors due to the limited nature of the item being collected for your own profit.

"I'm there, you're not." The song of the scalper, apparently. Is this one sung to the tune of Hi-Ho from snow white? Off to scalp pins you go? :)

someone's saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaltyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

LOL DSF has had some of the better of the pin releases this year and I dont doubt anyone charging a little extra, I have a PTN getter for Paris PTN's and I pay 30 euro on the day of release so you would say Im being scalped when to me its cheaper.

And to me this can belong here as he is asking is anyone interested, not actually a sale. His other threads asking if anyone wants a Pin Trader Delight pins isnt in the wrong as he is getting interest as he is going.

I posted in the section of the forum when I was offering help to forum members when I was visiting Paris so I think Chickenlittle isnt in the wrong. And this is just unwanted drama for the forum when there is already way to much as it is.

Finally! Someone gets it! I was only asking if anyone was interested, this is why I posted in the Pin Discussion and not the sales part of the forum.

By the way... I'm a she, lol :p

I totally agree with Stitch2814, I'm living in The Netherlands and no way I could buy the DSF pins than eBay, but I prefer to buy them from ChickenLittle, she's a good person and I think it's really kind of her offering to get DSF pins for others...
