I recently got a pin from someone I trust that looks great except I noticed some extra metal in the upper left corner. :( Not sure what to make of it... Is it a scrapper? Does anyone else have a pin with this issue? Pin 89609: Disney Phineas and Ferb 4 Pin Starter Set - Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Agent P Only

hey mom,

The back looks ok and so does the front except the extra pieces, most base metal castings<which pins are> are done in metal molds which sometimes leaves small residual pieces of metal to the actual casting, While slightly unsightly, it does not mean its a scrapper, merely a piece that was not sanded properly.
IF you like the piece, keep it, if you are so bothered by the extra bit, ask the trader you recieved it from to return your pin and try to trade for it in the future,
The pin carries no scrapper warning on PP,and except for the extra corner bit, seems legit in almost all other ways,
your call.....

Thanks, Lucan. I like the pin enough that this flaw won't bother me too much. I do wish the previous owner had disclosed it but it's possible they didn't notice because I didn't notice the first time I looked at it either.
