Hello DPF community.

I am fairly new to the forum having completed one purchase successfully. I have read many of the posts and it seems like a great resource.

We are actually leaving to go down to DLR from the central valley this weekend with a stop at DSF on Saturday.

This trip is like a make-a-wish visit for my wife. She has recently been listed on the transplant list for new lungs (No she never smoked). She wanted to visit DLR one last time before the transplant hopefully happens. This will probably be our last trip to DLR for a while until the transplant happens or not, so we hope it it a great trip. We have been trading now for a couple of years. My eldest daughter got me hooked. I like Jiminy and my wife is a Chip and Dale fan. As older members, but still young at heart, we hope to inspire older collectors to pick up the hobby.

I hope to make some great trades and purchases on our trip. Hope to see some of you there. Thanks for making me feel welcome to the site.

I just now saw this thread, so a belated 'Aloha' and 'Welcome!'

I'm sending loads of prayers and pixie dust for you and your wife. I hope, first of all, that both of you have (had?) a magical, pin-filled time at DLR and DSF. I hope that the transplant does (or did?) happen, and when it does (did), everything goes (went) very smoothly and your wife has a very smooth and rapid recovery so both of you can get back into the Disney parks. One of the most magical things about Disney is it's a place where problems just fall away and age truly is just a number without meaning - we're all children there.

In the meantime, I like to think of this community as an online family you can come to for support and friendship, and in some cases, enablement to purchase more pins. In your case, please know that we're here for you should you need someone friendly to talk to.
