The animators dolls are available on the UK site already and it's been told the LE dolls will be sold separate for $99 and have LE size of 2500 each!
 
Okay, I finally saw the toddler dolls yesterday. I'm totally in love with Anna, but there's something a little off about Elsa's eyes, almost alien-like. And I HATTTTTTTE their boxes. It really, really bugs me that they're shorter than the DAC boxes. So, as much as I'm thrilled to see DS keeps adding dolls to this line and I plan to buy all of them, I think I'm just getting one of each of these dolls. And I'm waiting to get them on a sale. Then again, I'm hoping to wait and get most of the Frozen merch on sale since there's SO MUCH to buy. UGH! This doll-buying season was rough!
 
Thank goodness I have a birthday coming up and can hopefully get some of this stuff through that. I have so little self control when it comes to pretty Princess things, and all of the Frozen things are beautiful! I would love to get a hold of Anna's coronation dress somehow for the Classic doll, maybe they'll do an accessories pack like they've done for the other princesses.

Can't wait to see the LE dolls! I'm sure they will be gorgeous

I think ink they will be in the same sort of box that the other princesses came in. They just changed up the terminology, Disney has done this before. They used to refer to just refer to a limited edition of ... But now they refer to it as a global edition. I wouldn't read into it too much but who knows you could be right because Disney does like to change things up, I for one would be annoyed if they changed the box for these two princesses as it would not fit in the original collection then and I don't see why Disney would change the box up because the current Disney princess boxes would suit Anna and Elsa (unlike Calhoun who was made to look more like an action figure than a doll).

to be honest I think this sort of got way out of hand and I don't see what the difference is anymore between you originally posting the links on here or asking people to message you then you sending it to them. Because then everyone will just message you instead? Because I don't think you were able to distinguish scalper from collector and would just just messaged everyone the details? Also giving out this information will only really benefit those in the UK as that is the direct link to the UK site so most people in the US requesting it will only get it for info purposes because the item numbers on the UK site are different to the US. I can understand why Princess Jasmine wanted you to take the links down in the first place but this the same that happened with the designer set, someone posted on here the link to the preorder set (which you were able to just google by the way) and everyone had access to it in advance of the release but prior to that it really didn't make much of a difference. The issue here is that by originally posting it and then removing it it caused unnecessary hype and as a result filled up the thread with people asking for a link that showed them information that was already on the thread, whereas if you probably just left it on the thread it wouldn't have caused so much drama and to be honest doesn't even really give anyone an advantage of any kind at all. The UK generally takes a lot longer to sell out, if you are on the site on time then you are right heck I think with these dolls they will last at least a day in the UK especially since the movie is not expected to be released there until much later in the year if not early next year.

I have seen them all, yes. I am trying to figure if legally I can disclose what I've been told from my own store, seeing as the links are already out with descriptions. I'll get back to you on this. :) I'll ask my manager about it, but I'm thinking info may be leaked before I can actually respond. It has to be any day now! I'm not brave enough to do it myself! Lol. CM rules are touchy.

So are you a cast member yourself? Or do you just have contact with a cast member? If so that was really nice of them to show you the doll way in advance. You must be a regular customer at your store! LOL. I didnt think the dolls had already been distributed to the stores yet, then again they are set to be released soon I guess so if your store is a major one then it makes sense that they have received the dolls already.

My store is not actually getting the dolls, we never get any LE that is lower than 5000. I did not say this is where I saw the dolls :) I am unsure as to whether or not dolls are actually being distributed at other locations yet. However the information itself is available to stores (at least it is at mine).

And yes I am a CM!

oh sorry I must have misinterpreted what you said. You are so lucky to have been able to see the dolls way in advance. Thanks for the hints and info! Hopefully we do get some pics soon.
 
Hey guys just a question about the first trailer (not the teaser with Olaf and Sven but the actual trailer that was released a few weeks ago) is the background song in that trailer Harlem by the New Politics? I think it is but am not completely sure. It's sorta like when they had the trailer for Tangled and how the background song was Pink's Trouble it only featured in the trailer and that was it.

Sweet thanks for confirming that, tried googling it but it didn't come up with anything. Funny how they used that song especially with some of the lyrics hehe. "Shake it like a bad girl, up in Harlem" LOL. It is a catchy tune and suits the trailer though.

I think you might be right, that is what everyone was thinking they would be in and I believe where the general direction of the group was going so I think that is what we should be expecting the dolls to appear in. Thing is didn't Elsa also have a coronation dress? The one she is wearing in the trailer sort of dark colors with a purple cape? I would have thought that to make the dolls match they would have both dolls in the corresponding outfit. So if Anna is in her coronation outfit then Elsa will be too and if Anna is in her Snow Gear outfit then Elsa will be in her icy blue dress. Then again Anna might be in that dress dress more than Elsa is in her coronation dress. It's still hard to tell because no one has seen the movie so this is all based on the trailers.

I am am looking forward to next week, but I am sure we should get more info by the end of the week.

Yeah the lyrics don't really work for Frozen, but the overall feeling of the song and the melody do.

Thanks Polaris! I am beyond excited for this movie! I have waited for Disney to make a movie like this for sooooo long. Winter is my favorite season and I am of Scandinavian descent so this movie means a lot to me. It's helping me to connect with my culture, which is important to me since like so many others my heritage was lost through immigration to the US and the passage of time and generations.

Yes Elsa has a coronation dress. It's the one she wears in the trailer and the one in the Frozen doll set.



Elsa will be wearing her blue "Snow Queen" dress and Anna will be wearing her green coronation dress for their LE dolls based on the DS UK description. I thought this was what they would wear before we saw the description since those outfits are the most "princess-like" of the ones they wear.

Polaris, Anna wears her snow gear more than her coronation dress in the film, I think. I would like to wager that they only are in their coronation dresses for about 30 minutes, maybe even less. (Obviously I haven't seen it lol, I'm just going off of intuition and what I've seen in the trailers).

However they both are the more "princess-y" versions of their gowns. So you are right there :)

Keep in mind that the LE is only 2500, which is half as many as usual (per princess).
 
Are the deluxe doll set smaller than the regular classic dolls or is the picture just making them look smaller than the normal 12 inch dolls?

LOL thanks again for confirming that! Yeah I would have imaged that Anna would be in her snow gear more in the movie, but you do see her in that coronation dress in three different scenes over the two trailers.
1) in the castle with Elsa
2) outside during the day on a small boat with Hans
3) outside at night in the Snow saying cold cold cold as she walks to a building

So it does make sense that Disney would feature the LE dolls in these dresses due to their princess-y regal looks. I can just imagine that these dolls will look amazing. Again thanks so much ElysionsPrincess for sharing the info, especially since you do have to keep some information to yourself as we wouldn't want you to get in trouble so it really is appreciated.

I agree with nightmaremermaid as well in that the coronation dresses do sound more like the description from the Disney Store UK website and it does make sense that these would be the outfits used for the LE dolls.
 
Getting very excited about this movie! I would buy the coronation set but there's no way I would be able to restyle their hair for their other outfit. Hopefully they'll be on sale for Black Friday.And thanks for sharing more info on the LE dolls! I'm still stalking the ds blog and flickr for a preview pic lol!
