Good bye DPF,

I am so sick of the pinholes I am just done, as of this post I am no longer a member of the DPF, once my auctions end i am deactivating my eBay. If you are a user that pre order pins with me I will still honour your purchase and contact you with updated information but as of now all unpaid and future orders including the ones made for the Alice WDI pins for the 6th of this month are canceled. I am sorry for any problems.


I want to say thank you to the great members that are just amazing I wish you luck and hope to see you once more. I will miss some of you.




Now to explain the situation, I am forced to post this here because a masked ebayer threatened me with posting a thread about me on the forum.




I was selling my PODMs starting at .99$ they where doing great till the past few days when they shoot up and just went out of control. Last night I received this email from the user that was making all the crazy bids.





I called eBay and they walked me thou the steps of cancelling the bids.


I guess this users kid and another eBay user bid up the pins to such high costs. Some reached over 200$ I was shocked because I was selling them here for about 50$ each that's what I saw the prices at.


Later I got another from the user








Everything was ok, I have so many people watching the bids so the activity was popping with pms asking if I had more or willing to take a buy now price.




Well while on my way home from DSF today I started getting the following pms from a masked user, someone that would not face me but use a fake account to harass and bully me.




















































This has been my morning my stressful morning dealing with personal problems at home, work, and relationship and this crap. So I am just done I was into pin trading as a stress relief and a way to relax from my stressful job.


So to who ever you are on the forum, I hope this makes you happy.




I as sorry if I offend you by this post I just don't want my final Impression to be a user bashing my name. I am just devastated a saw this forum as something else but now it's just a pain good bye and I wish you all good luck.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you! This definitely seems like a misunderstanding on the other person's end. Maybe if they see this, you guys can work out an apology? I would hate to see you have to leave over something like this! :hug:

Oh no!!! 🙁. I am so sorry to hear this!! I would feel so attacked if this was happening to me... But I do wish it wouldn't make you want to leave us.

I have no idea who this is, but I can tell you from personal experience that eBay does not take shill bidding seriously.

I turned someone in about 2-3 years ago, provided evidence and they said "Oh that does look shady. We'll look into it, but we won't tell you what happens." Well, the seller kept their account, and I had to pay the extra $$ that their shill bidding caused.

I'm sorry you're feeling intimidated by this person. I'm sure they think they're doing the right thing. As Mokey Fraggle once said, "Well, Dear Diary, it's not easy to understand other people's problems. But it's very easy to think you do."

I hope this experience doesn't drive you from DPF, but I can understand why it would. Take care.

Wonder how they got your IP? Because I would call them out on that, ask them what it is, if they cant or say why should I give it to you, theyre full of it 🙂

As far as the harassment goes, contact ebay by phone. They should be able to trace the IP and link any accounts that have shared the same IP. From there they can investigate further and suspend/ban the user.

And as far as them being a DPF user, that seems low for someone from this community =/
Probably someone here who overpaid for an item and instead of asking for a partial refund, decided to try and make your day worse.

Ozzie ... I think there are some jokesters playing on Ebay lately. I have noticed another VERY weird auction that ended at $510 and both were new bidders that kept bidding each other up.

I was watching that particular pin, because I have it and wanted to find out its value. My jaw dropped when I saw that it ended at $510, and it was from a very well known seller.

It is very obvious that someone was messing around with her too, and I got disgusted. A lot of weird things are happening on Ebay. Please do not get discouraged. I will PM you the link from the Ebay auction later as I can not post it here. But it was a Stained Glass Cast pin.

What a horrible experience, I hope you get it sorted soon.....maybe a disgruntled bidder who got outbid on the podms? I think you should stay on the forum xx

I don't know who you are, but I'm not going to take your side. No matter what happened, harassment is more disturbing to me than Ozzie's alleged (and most likely imaginary) "shill bidding". I am sure that you think you are doing good by trying to spread the word, but I'm not really involved with this and don't understand the specifics. So please do not message me any further. Thanks!

Don't give up on a hobby you love just because of one horrible person - if we did that we'd all be hermits. I wouldn't worry about your ebay account. No one who writes emails like that is going to be taken seriously.

ozzie you do NOT deserve that...I just wrote on his messaging wall and I will be reporting him or her.....this is terrible....btw i just saw them looking at this forum....and if they are messaging you now, you just forward them to a mod

Im a mod on a forum running this same software. If they made the account on the same computer as their main account, it throws a flag up in the system since mods can see IP addresses.
I only imagine this forum runs the same way, so being able to find who it is shouldnt be a problem if they used the same computer 😛

This person is a bully, plain and simple. Don't let them intimidate you. They obviously have too much time on their hands. You have support here on dpf. Don't let them win.

He failed to post his reply to my messages in which he confesses that his "friend" is bidding on her cell phone so its not the same IP address. eBay says his account will be cancelled within 24-48 hours. He confessed via ebay messages to shilling.

I don't know what's wrong with you she is my friend, she is the one who I got my batb PODM. This tells me how ignorant you are because she has her own eBay account and I have my own, so the IP address should not be the same. As well I asked eBay to take a look at my current and past auctions. We both only use our eBay on mobile so I don't know how our IP address would be the same.
