Hi there,

Name's Hightop, Mike will do just fine as well. :) I'm new to the whole pin collecting thing. I read up a little about it and after my lovely wife and I were married, we honeymooned in WDW.

I wasn't expecting to get as in to it as I did. Needless to say, by the time we left, I brought home 31 pins. :) We stayed at the Coronado Springs and in the gift shop, during the morning hours, they had a little pinata donkey with a sash on it at the back of the store. Guests were allowed to trade out pins with the Donkey..I felt a little weird being as old as I am, but I couldn't resist the call of the pins. We bought a few of the singles, and then on our first day in Epcot, I just went nuts and got a few blind bags and started trading with everyone I saw.

Anyhow, I'm new to the whole pin trading scene, so I may not know many of the terms, etc. Hope you'll be patient with me.

Thanks and happy pin hunting!

Hello Mike and welcome to the DPF family. One is never-ever too old to pin trade. Heck, I am a grand mother. I love my hobby.
Sending pixie dust your way for many great pin trades. :)

Aloha Mike and Welcome! :wavey:

One of the best things about Disney (and pins) is that it's a place where age truly is just a number. Remember that you're only as old as you feel - and you're never too old for anything - especially pins! I think you'll find as you spend time here that pin collectors/traders span all age groups - and we all share one thing in common: love of these highly addictive shiny pieces of metal.
