Hey Traders,
my name is Steffen and i'm obsessed with all stuff of Disney, except Pins
......... only until September 2010. This is when I bought my first lanyard - the Hollywood Tower Hotel one with four starter Pins. Trading in Disneyland Paris is not as much fun as in the states, because you can only trade with the cast members! In all my visits in the past years, i've never met anybody "normal" walking through the park with a lanyard. Except of children, which had them for souvenir.
Then we, my partner and me, decided to buy a pin lot on eBay - big mistake. First we were completely impressed - 50 pins for only 30 Euros. But then they came and they were from such a bad quality - so I began to google around. I found the word scrapper. It wasn't long before i've figured out, what the word means. So we've got 50 pins to throw into the trash can. We only kept the pin backs and sweared us never to buy loose pins at eBay, especially when they come in such good deals and from asia.
On our next Disneyland Paris vacation in 2011, the vacation we've bought the pins for, we recognized that over 60% of all Pins, worn by the cast members, might be scrappers. 35% of the other are not interesting for my collected themes and the other 5 % were hard to find  So we only bought a few regular pins and traded a few, which are had no marks to be a scrapper.
This september we're going to WDW and we're hoping to satisfy our obsession....... for a while.
Hope to find some friends in this awesome forum and glad to see people, who got more obsessed than me :hsd:
Have a magical day
