If you would like your photos removed from pinpics, please list them here.

disney5 has offered to replace the photos of pins they own with new photos from their own collection, for members that are unhappy or worried about the current state of the pinpics TOS/TOU as it pertains to the use of photos from the database.

As such, this thread will serve as a repository for DPF members who have submitted photos to pinpics, and would like them removed for whatever reason.

you can list the reference to your photos as numbers, direct links or with the [pinpics] and [/ pinpics] tag (sans spaces, obviously).

Pin 20: Disneyland Sleeping Beauty's Castle - Spirit of Disney - [pinpics]20[/pinpics]
Pin 21: Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - 1999 (Dinner Plate) - [pinpics]21[/pinpics]

Thus far, they haven't removed a darn thing because they DON'T have the pins. Is that going to be the excuse for EVERYTHING?

Unfortunately we (disney5) do not own any of the 8 pins TiggerNut has listed so far.

Pin 20: Disneyland Sleeping Beauty's Castle - Spirit of Disney
Pin 21: Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - 1999 (Dinner Plate)
Pin 34843: DS - Tigger Vampire Halloween Light-Up
Pin 34242: Tigger Galloping
Pin 35313: 100 Years of Dreams #13 - Winnie the Pooh and Friends (1982) - Gold
Pin 35331: Sheriff Cowboy Tigger - Black Metal Base
Pin 35332: Sheriff Cowboy Tigger - Gold Metal Base
Pin 35341: Walt Disney Television Animation Australia - Tigger

Well, your experiment is proving to be a BIG FAIL now..isn't it?

If I give you 100 and you can't find them, will you stop?

Pinpics/Lansam & their agents should REWARD people for adding to the database, not looking for ways to cut more information from the community.

While I have no love for the new ownership, this comment is uncalled for. Disney5 is offering a service and a fair solution to the problem. In this case attacking the person serves no purpose and only creates unnecessary strife. You need not participate in that solution, by lending or permitting photographs of the pins that Disney5 does not have. But you do not need to subject Disney5 to your sarcastic and frankly provocative posting.

Where in my statement calling Disney5's experiment a FAIL, become a personal attack!? It is a comment on the experiment they created where they called me out in 2 different threads (the other with my name) to list the pins they don't have. This was not a serious solution, it was a joke, and truly ignored what I was saying about the entire database.

Again, I attacked the BEHAVIOR, not the person. But the person has not been too kind to me either if you look at the snarky comments I received from him in other posts.

I just... don't even understand the reason for this hostility.

it seems aimed at him...... so the more you post something to stir up people and the more you two backlash the more this drama is going to happen so can you guys just cut the crap.... seriously... i know we all have opinions on this matter for pinpics.... ok? and we all have opinons about lansam..and etc etc etc... but seriously we know who takes it nicely and who is taking it negatively!!!!! SO STOP REPEATING THE SAME SITUATIONS AND SUBJECTS!!!!!!! i'm sick of everytime I come to the forum theres some kind of drama concerning pinpics or tiggernut or lansam...etc... can we please act civil...not backlash, fight or SLANDER people..... we are adults (whether we be young or older) WHY DON'T WE ACT LIKE IT AND STOP ACTING LIKE GRADE SCHOOL KIDS ARGUING OVER SOMETHING THATS GOING TO PROBABLY HAPPEN WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT! It's nice to voice opinions.... but not repeat the same situations.... i've accepted what WILL happen to pinpics. but still atleast we can still use it to categorize our pins... and Lansam said on Pintalk earlier that their keeping the Image useage the same.. they may or may not change it later... with that being said I don't think we need to fight anymore... OK?! i see where diana's concerns stem from with the picture usage and the changes and i can see where other people can accept the change. but since we know where everyone stands... lets just stop please....no more of this oh we need you to prove this or that or stirring up the community.....I hate to see people argue.... ok thats it for my little rant! :) I hope people see what i'm trying to say.

.......

bricklayer - we hope you understand and appreciate that this is a genuinely honest effort to resolve the complaints of tiggernut and the "16 people" regarding their change of heart to their donated pin photos to the pinpics website. this is not a "joke" or a "will they post them?" thing for us. We are fully prepared to send in replacement photos for every single pin (that we own) with photos donated by tiggernut and the "16 people".

I have added numerous pins to the database from my collection but I am not going to cause a fuss. This is pin trading, we share and care, don't we? I have no problem in re-photographing my pins from my collection if I ever need to sell them etc. As a student studying photography I totally understand this copyright problem. I submitted photos to PinPics so that others can identify pins and not have to read a long description, so they shall stay there :)

If you look on pin talk they have changed their mind for now
[h=2]Use of Pinpics Images Re-visited[/h]
The mods at Pinpics have been discussing the Ebay picture policy and we have decided to allow the policy to continue as is. We do understand Figgy and Britt's policy of allowing pictures to be posted on Ebay. Our intention with the picture ban was to help protect buyers, whether they be new or old in pins. We will however re-visit this policy before the launch and may re-address the issue in a different manner.

I think if someone could start up a second data base and we all started listing pins it would give everyone more peace of mind. Pin Pics is now a MONOPOLY.

Technically Pinpics has always been a monopoly since it's pretty much been the sole database. I think it's kinda funny that the word is always used once the site does something people don't like.

There is something I do not understand at all. The mods at Pinpics have said you can continue to use the photos on ebay, which is what everyone seemed to want, so that complaint should be over, right? Or am I missing something?

Another thing I really cannot grasp is what all this arguing and criticizing of Pinpics is supposed to accomplish. Other than scaring a lot of new traders away, what is it specifically that is still making everyone unhappy here?

I do not see how posting negative things endlessly is going to help anything, because the site is owned by Lansam and they are going to do whatever it is they have already planned. Why go on and on forever, when there is nothing anyone here can change?

It is getting so repetitious here. Of course, if anyone does not like it, they don't have to read it. We get it! But for how long will this issue be taking up space and creating this negativity? Isn't it time to let it go?

Now it is a business , thus it has now achieved MONOPOLY status.

To be a monopoly, by definition, it has to be exclusive. Pinpics is "only" but not exclusive. They do not stop competitors.
