Hi there,
My name is Melanie and I'm new to pin collecting (about 6 months or so), but have quickly come to love it- it's just too fun! I have loved Disney for a very long time and am an Annual WDW Pass Holder residing in Florida. My husband loves collecting and has gotten me excited to find my own "thing" to collect.

So far I have been focusing on:

Wall-E
Villains (Maleficent in particular, she's my favorite)
Peter Pan
Other robots/Sci-Fi related characters
General/other related to my own Disney experiences (Resorts I stay at, my favorite park rides, etc)

I initially joined this forum in hopes to find out if anyone was selling or trading a particular pin, but it looks like I don't have permissions to create a new post in the For Sale/Wanted forums. Does this require a longer term membership?

Looking forward to meeting some other collectors and discovering some new pins!

Melanie

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes!

After going through this site a bit, I noticed all of your PinPic stats and figured out how that whole site works as well (I hadn't used it before either). It's very cool. I love the option where you can compare what you have available to trade with what other people have and want from your list- very intuitive.

My only question is: how do I know that I won't offend someone by making a trade offer for something that I want and offer something they may not consider equal in trade value? Does that make sense? I just don't want to offer someone something they'd consider lower on their hierarchy as a trade for something they value quite a bit.

Can I just go for it and no one will really mind, they'll just deny the trade if they're not interested?

Thanks for the help!
Melanie

Hi! Welcome! I am new here too. I would say go for it! If they don't want to trade, then they would just ignore it or respectfully decline.

I hope you have an awesome time trading!

I agree. Most people here will not be offended if they don't deem the trade to be fair. Also, I think you need to be a member for so many days and have so many posts before you can most on the sale/wanted page.

Great, thanks guys! That's super helpful! Looking forward to getting to know everyone better.

Thanks!
