My name is Daniel, username being my family's surname. I recently purchased a home so I am on a very modest budget. That being said I won't be able to share nice pin pics with you all too often. My family has started collecting this week so we do have a lot to learn still. One mistake I made thus far is buying a lot of 25 pins on eBay. Even with my limited pin knowledge I was able to confirm they were counterfeit. Rest assured they will be sent to Disney for proper disposal and I'd never dream of offering fake pins either in trade or as a bid. I may periodically post a pic or two of a pub to ask if it looks genuine. Please excuse me if I become bothersome with this, it'll stop as I learn what to look for. I'm looking forward to be part of the community.

Welcome! DPF is easily one of the nicest corners of the internet, and quite dedicated to making sure fakes don't circulate freely I'm sure people wouldn't mind helping you ID a pin as fake or real. Hope you have fun on the forum, and with trading

Welcome! So glad you've joined us! Everyone will be happy to help you as you are learning what to look for. Bummer about the ebay lot, but I'm glad you didn't buy a lot of 100 pins, right?

Enjoy your time with us... take a look around and jump on in!

Welcome!! I bought one of these lots too when I started out! Luckily i could tell they were fakes too! I used some of those those fake pins when I decorated my phone and ipod cases, by cutting off the pointy bit haha! The rest are in a drawer, never to see the light of day again!! What pins are you interested in collecting?

Welcome to the community. If you're looking for cheap(er) traders (though not as cheap as eBay scrappers), check out the sales section of the community. Some members sell booster packs cheap.

Hi Daniel! Sorry to hear about the scrappers! I think most of us have been stuck with one or more at one time or another; I had almost the same experience when I started! Enjoy DPF!
