Hello!
I stumbled upon this site when I learned about the Disney Designer Dolls and wanted some 'inside' information. I am a long time member of the DISBoards, also Alice28 there and have 9500 posts. So I'm not a newbie when it comes to Disney forums. 🙂
I have been a life-long Disney lover, my first trip to DL was in 1976 when I was 4. I have been to Disneyland at least 30 times and Walt Disney World 10 times. I have my first trip to DLParis in place for April 2012.
i've never been a serious collector of anything. I have a fair collection of Disney books and various doo-dads. My kids like to pin trade when we're in the parks and I have 3-4 that I bought especially for myself.
My biggest pin 'brag' was playing a game on a Friday night in the pin store at DtD in 2003....it was Disney trivia, 10-15 questions, top 3 winners got a pin. I came in 2nd place....and the guy who won? His last name was DISNEY. I kid you not- some great nephew of Walt's or Roy. I felt pretty hot to come in 2nd to a DISNEY family member, LOL.
My kids also briefly got in the vinylmation craze, so we have 15-20 of those about the house. I mostly just like to spend my money on vacations to the parks!!!
But these dolls....oh the dolls. The first thing I want to collect since I've had my own kids and it's become a rapid crazy beast. I have all 5 dolls so far but seriously am doubting that I'll be able to get the next 5. What a bummer! :cry:
