So hey, I'm Justin.

The pin bug has sort of been planted in me for a little over a year. I collect pilsner glasses from Hard Rock Cafe, and I have friends who collect pins. So when any of us go to one, they get me a glass, and I get them pins. But recently I bought them some pins that were REALLY cool. As I bought them, I thought "Man, I wish I collected these! But no... I don't need to start collecting yet another thing. Really, I don't!"

While I collect pilsners from the Hard Rock, I collect shot glasses from everywhere else I go. When I was in WDW this past May, I was disappointed by their selection in shots. I ended up deciding I would get a couple pins, since I only found one glass I liked. I didn't decide I was necessarily collecting them, but I liked these two, so I got them, and put them on my camera bag.

When I got home, I was going through drawers and boxes in my basement, and I kept coming across more and more pins that I've just acquired from various places over the years. I said to heck with it, I have enough pins to say this is a collection now!

So yeah... Now I collect pins. I bought a big cork board, and the collection is rapidly expanding!

A little about me... I'm a professional musician. I spent four years playing bass for an Aerosmith tribute band that toured national (and even a little internationally!). I haven't been playing out in about a year, and I'm itching to get back into it.

Some highlights of my time with the Aerosmith band include our two performances in WDW! First we played a private gig for an ESPN corporate party. It was in MGM Studios, after the park closed. They had a stage set up in front of the Rock N Roller coaster, and I'll tell ya, playing in front of that guitar was pretty amazing for me! You can see a picture of it in my signature... I'm on the left!

The second time was during the first annual Sounds Like Summer series at Epcot. We played 3 shows an evening for a week. There is nothing better than getting paid to spend a week in Disney World!

I'm also an aspiring photographer. Concert photography is one of my favorite things to do. If you'd like to see some of my work, check out http://www.thejustinhunt.com!

Well that's all for now. Look forward to spending some time on the boards, and maybe meeting you all at some pin events someday!

Hey Justin! Glad you could make it over here from PinTalk. Nice to see you here!
I hope you'll enjoy it here as well! :)

Welcome, Justine. I collect everything Disney but, I collect shot glasses too ( not to mention other stuff) I try to pick one up whenever I go some where new. The pins are hard to resist because Disney has so many awesome collections. I am sure you will enjoy DPF. :wiggle:

Thanks everyone!

The collection is coming along nicely... Hopefully eventually it'll be just pins on there, and I'll be able to remove some of the "fluff" that makes it look more full.

My wife has a similar board with her magnet collection hanging next to it... She's been collecting magnets for as long as I've been collecting shots... so my empty pin board looked even more empty next to hers!

Welcome to the forum!! Did you ever play in Pala Casino in CA with your Aerosmith tribute band? If so, I may have seen you!
