Hey Everyone! I'm a COMPLETE newbie... as in, I have NO pins yet, and have not had the chance to visit any of the parks. Looking to meet new friends and try to start collecting/trading pins.

I have to find some first lol... guess I'll try ebay and see what I can get.

If anyone has any suggestions/comments, please let me know!

Hi and welcome
watch out for scrapper pins on eBay (fake pins and such). There was a user on eBay who had quite a few guides on how to tell a scrapper and that is how I learned to tell

many people here can help you as well so don't be afraid to ask anyone.
Also if you didn't know, pinpics is another really good spot to learn about scrapers and to be able to see what the real pins look like

Hi! Dont worry, its not to hard to start pin collecting. It started with 2 store bought pins and a visit to Walt Disney World two years ago and Ive never looked back! HA!
 
Hello there!! Welcome! I hope you like it here! I would suggest making a http://gallery.pinpics.com/ account and connecting it to your account here, so when you do get some pins you can keep track of which ones you have and are trading! It is also a great place to look and list the pins you would like to get! As for ebay sellers I would suggest not buying a random lot of pins. Just be careful with your sellers, always check their ratings/feedback! If you're in doubt you can PM me the seller and I can check them out for you! I hope you enjoy pin trading! It is SO addicting, and FUN!
 
Hi all, and thanks for the warm welcome! I just bought two big lots on Ebay... hopefully they will be good... if not, I'll return them for a refund. I hope to collect hot air balloons, "admit one" tickets, UP!, and Alice in Wonderland. I'd also like to get some from the older movies (like Mary Poppins, Black Cauldron, etc). But really, I'm sure I will like anything and everything!

Oh, also... I started an account on pinpics... my name on there is Ventchick as well. Feel free to add me as a friend on either site. I haven't added any trade pins to pinpics yet, because I have no pins... but part of my want list is on there.
 
Hello and welcome! You may want to add your Pinpics ID to your DPF profile, so the links will appear under your name when you post here. Just click on Settings at the top right of the screen, then choose Edit Profile from the options down the left of the screen - then you can add your Pinpics ID (and other info such as where you live, etc., if you like).
