Being a Southern California native I finally decided to pick up my Annual Pass. I was excited since I haven't been to the park for ages beforehand. One of the things I've decided to do was start a pin collection. I figured it would make my visits that much more fun. So I just wanted to say hello, hopefully I'll see some of you at the park for some neat trades. I'm obviously starting small, but I'm eventually I'll put together a pretty good collection.

The kind of trader I want to be is one who trades not for "value" but for the type of pins he likes. If you think X pin is worth some 50 dollars, but the one I want is nothing but some old rack pin, I'd gladly trade it.
That being said, here's my current collection of some ridiculously common pins. :)

Hi, and welcome. :) I started out small a few years ago when I got my annual pass for DL, too. My collection still isn't very big, I collect slowly! It does make park visits much more enjoyable to me, though!

It was actually in the Mainstreet emporium. Same place my sister happened to grab her Grape Soda pin. (79373)

I think that when it comes to your collection, a 'good' pin is one that you love and makes you smile every time you look at it. Furthermore, I believe that a pin's 'value' is so subjective as, at the end of the day, a pin only is worth what someone is willing to give up, whether in other pins or $$$, to acquire it. I think you're getting into trading with a wonderful attitude and I hope you have much fun and can find and and make fair trades for pins that you just will love! :)
 
Oh yeah totally. I came across Geoff yesterday at DLR by Little Green Men and asked him if he had any fakes, for the purpose of seeing what they look like. He was surprised that I asked that, haha.
