Hi everyone! :) You can call me Puff, for short. :3 I'm new here obviously, and so happy too be here! I never knew there was a forum for Pin Traders.

Since I recently got into the whole Pin thing, I don't have many but I am buying lots soon. My favorite characters to collect are Pluto, Chip and Dale, Tramp, Stitch, and Mickey. :) I also love to collect the pins that are shaped like foods.

Oohh, pins that are shaped like foods. That sounds interesting. Is the whole pin a food item or is it a character with a food item?
 
Welcome to the forum, Puff! I saw the word 'LOTS' and almost blew a gasket. They sell scrap pin 'lots' on Ebay and Craigslist, which are not genuine pins. We refer to them as 'Scrappers' as they are meant for the scrap pile. Always always always be vigilant of what you trade. I used to have over 1,000 pins, but after learning what scrappers were, I now have less than 700.

There are MANY great folks here to help you learn, and also important notes on pins on the PinPics website which can help you spot scrappers. I'm new to the forum as well, but very outspoken on this subject. Pin trading CAN be a great hobby, especially when you get that one last pin for a great set you've been working on for a long time.

@Karkura: The whole pin as a food. :3 Like, the Mickey strawberry or the Mickey pancake, things like that. :) I know they aren't too special or rare, but I love them. I also love the ones with characters with foods, too!

@AppleCore: Oh, no, I meant I am buying lots of pins as in many pins, not in lots of 50 or 100 or things like that. xD
