Hello everyone. I have been on and off collecting dolls since I was young. My grandmother initially got me into the world of doll collecting. When I would visit her I'd be in awe of all her collectible dolls behind the glass in the curio cabinets. She had dolls from all over the world. When her brother was in the service he would bring her back a doll from the country he was stationed in. Now for a little about my colleting. When my daughter was 2 in 2012, I revisited my love for Disney toys and collectibles. I saved some money and started collecting the Disney limited edition 17 inch dolls in 2013, starting with Ariel. Since then, my obsession and collection has grown. Out of the 17in. collection I currently own Ariel, Tiana, Purple Rapunzel, Pink and blue Aurora, Prince Phillip, Maleficent, and all 7 Frozen dolls (not any of the Harrods :( ). I also have the 3 fairies from the designer line and fairytale designer couples Briar Rose with Prince Phillip and Rapunzel with Flynn. Needless to say, with my family slowly warming up to my expensive/obsessive hobby, I am not difficult to get a gift for. (Disney gift card? Yes please!) I enjoy reading other collectors posts on this forum and am glad to be a part of it.

Thanks! How I aquired the November Frozen set is kind of a funny story. I was a really new collector to these dolls back in 2013. I only had 17" Ariel and the designer Rapunzel with Flynn set at the time. After I got my first 17" doll, Ariel, I was obsessed! I started to follow frozen in early 2013 and really liked the trailers. So when the November frozen set was announced on the Disney blog I was in love. I had planned on going to my closest mall the day of release. I got to the mall at 9:15am, mall opens at 9am and Disney Store 10am. The manager handed out the numbers at approx 9:45 am. I was 6th in line and my store only got 5 of each! I was devistated! I thought I had such a well thought out plan. Of course everyone in line was getting one of each. Then the guy first in line told me to try another Disney Store which is 45 min away. I called that Disney store and found out they still had one of each left! I found out they are not allowed to hold LE items or I would have had them take my name so I would not have had to rush. I picked my daughter up, she was 3 at the time, and flew out of there. As I was driving I kept telling myself I must be out of my mind, but I knew if I didn't try I would never know. When I got to that mall it was approx 10:40am. I scooped my daughter up and quickly hurried my way to the Disney Store. When I entered the store i rushed up to the register where I saw the two sisters sitting behind the counter. I told the cast member I was going to take them both and quickly got in line. The lady in front of me turned to me and said don't worry I'm not in line for those, I smiled. Then as I approached the counter to purchase the dolls a customer that was behind me a couple people back asked if both dolls were spoken for and I turned around, smiled and said "Yes." I drove home that day filled with excitement and I have never looked back since.
